What happened at half time? We cannot continue to fail to beat our biggest rivals and certainly not at home. Left the ground feeling pretty disappointed tonight, especially considering how we played in the first half to put out that rubbish in the second half..

That was the very best of English football in the first half, extreme pace and bloody physically with a Ref who did OK (I love Heinze, and did you see how Ballack can't play physically? He's always in withs his elbows that cunt just as I said in the summer when some wanted to sign him)
Carrick was fantastic for the first time! 3 or 4 very good tackles, good attacking play. I think we would have easily won the game if it wasn't for this cunt Cole! He defended really outstanding! He didn't allow Ronnie to get a pass done!
I don't like this tactics withs Giggs going to the middle and Rooney to the right! We are so bloody open on this side for counter attacks! I think that and the fear of a second yellow for any of our players allowed Chelsea to come back! Too, fucking bad that we play a bad second half for the second match in a row!

this gamed showed that we need a stronger bench.. I think SAF was afraid to put on any subs because our bench was shite tonite. However, i do think that he should have put Evra on for Giggs in the 60th-65th minute. Evra would give us a fresher pair of legs and a better defensive edge down our left side.
Ronaldo, Carrick, and Vidic were absolute class today.

I completely agree with you, our bench sucked and could have possibly cost us the game, we could have won with a stronger bench, just look at what chelsea's bench did for them as much as i hate to say it they out played us in the second half and it is partly due to being able to make key subs that change the pace of the game and make a major impact on the game. something that we can't do as of yet.

i'm neither happy nor sad about the result because on the most part i think it's fair. but i am disspaointed. ronaldo and saha missed 2 wonderful oppurtunities. "uve got to take ur chances" i had a bad feeling when fat frank went up to take the corner. just knew something would go wrong. it's good when robben takes their corners. it doesn't seem he can get the ball more than 2 meters in the air. agree with what everyone has been saying: carrick much improved performance, thats how he should be playing everyweek. vidic and heinze ruled the back as i knew they would. ronaldo was great on the attack but his final product and defending wasnt top. gigsy dissaperead most of the match and had quite a few bad balls and freek kicks. id say wazza played ok; he did give saha his assist, and another ball in which shouldve been an assist. and great to see saha bag that wonderful strike ;D .terrific atmoshphere and gotta say, i cant wait till january. just saw in the physio room that ronaldo has picked up an ankle injury and has no return date, and saha has picked up a hamstring injury and also has no return date. lets just hope that they are very minor and will be fit for the everton game.

What a great match....went down to the pub and had a great time especially since we outplayed Chelsea the first half. It was really deflating to see Fletcher and O'Shea come on not because they're horrible, but when compared to who Chelsea brought on certainly not comparable in quality. The pace certainly changed in the second half as Chelsea just kept working the wing. A win would have been brilliant, but getting a point out of this match will do for now. A shame we didn't get a second goal the first half because I wanted to start a "ARE YOU FULHAM IN DISGUISE?" song going since the rent boys looked less than convincing....

Left the ground feeling pretty disappointed tonight, especially considering how we played in the first half to put out that rubbish in the second half.. what happened was the decision by mourinho to have essien play more attacking right out position. i think it killed our flow, ferguson refused drop rooney to defend him and he took advantage. SAF figured our counter attack was fast and effective so he could spare one less person defending and what happened is that we missed 2 great oppurtunities with saha and ronaldo. giggs pass so on 1-1.. thats how i saw it

Yeah a proper game of 2 halves...
Thought the result was fair TBH - near the end I thought we were going to be on the wrong end of a 1-2!
One thing about yesterday tho - I am so glad we never went for Ballack (or SAF Kb'd him?) how in effective was he? and he is one dirty bastard... Shevchenko was well marshalled by Vidic - (the find of the season!)
We held our own - and how different night the result have been if we had taken those 2 chances...
Anyhow the best 2 teams in the Prem put a game on for us all and showed us why they are well ahead of the rest... and likely to stay that way for some time I imagine!

United were so worried about Robben that Carrick and Scholesy kept drifting towards the right, Giggs came in centre mid and Rooney kept dropping back to the left. Fergie couldn't make any subs who would actually have a tactical impact on the game. As a result Giggs had probably his worst performance of the season, Rooney was also aweful in the second half. I'd have liked to see Giggs off, Ronaldo put on the left in all the space and Fletcher working hard against Robben on the right so the centre mids wouldn't have had to shift over to clear up Ronaldo's defensive duties

Giggs was obviously detailed to come inside when they had the ball but this meant Essien had acres of space to operate in when he switched to right full.. If Ronaldo went over that side Essien would have had something to worry about defensively instead of bombing forward at will. We didn't seem to react at all to their changing things at half-time, which surely has to Querioz's concern.

Exactly, i was waiting for Fergie to change it around a little, but he did nothing and let Essien free Things kept coming from the right and that got them the point in the end as its where the corner came from.

Not because they're horrible. Lies ! --------------------------------------------- No doubt that Essien had way too much space to pick out players which didn't help us at all. To moxdevil's point it was deflating to see us spending a good portion of the second half letting Essien roam with plenty of room because had we stuck to the tactics of the first half we would have kept Chelsea on their toes rather than giving them the chance to create opportunities.
