Manchester United see out 2006 top of the Premier League regardless of the result in this fixture, who would have thought it eh? Reading travel to United, doing better than anybody could have imagined lead by United favourite, Steve Coppell they'll provide a stern test especially after boosting United's title hopes at Stamford Bridge on the weekend they could do the same favour for Chelsea. I expect Ferguson to rest a few legs again and would go with this lineup, Vidic and Scholes are out through suspension. Adam's XIVan Der Sar
Neville - Ferdinand - Brown - Evra
Ronaldo - Fletcher - Carrick - Giggs
Rooney - Saha [/color] Prediction: 3-0 UNITED - more of the same from United, we're in great form and I expect us to pull of a performance to celebrate being top of the league, the New Year and Sir Alex's birthday.

Certainly not a team to be taken lightly after their draw with Chelski, so I hope we continue winning, and not allow ourselves to rely on Chelsea slip ups.
1-0... GARY NEVILLE FREE KICK!
It's so ridiculous, it should happen.

I can see him resting Evra to be honest - he's played the last two, Heinze must be itching for a game!

I don't think he'll play Giggsy, and stay with Parky so Giggs is fresh for the Newcastle game. Apart from that I agree with your XI Adam.
Prediction: 3-0 United

Rooney might be rested after playing the last game, i get the feeling Fergie will start Ronaldo this time and have Rooney as his super sub. Heinze instead of Evra for this. Giggs or Nev might be rested as well, on the bench maybe, if we could get away with resting both of those again that would be great.

I doubt he'll rest Rooney, and Fergie will probably want Evra's attacking ability for this one.

Isn't Carrick still out?
Plus to be fair O'Shea didn't have too bad a game on Tuesday.

Isn't Carrick still out? Plus to be fair O'Shea didn't have too bad a game on Tuesday. There was one time where he shat out of a challenge which lead to a counter attack, but other that, he didn't do much wrong.

Prediction: 3-0 United Am not gonna take a less aggressive approach to this one. Reading's being doing great these past fixtures and they will be riding his on confidence and spirit. I do not see Park starting on as he is not yet back to his original quickness. Though I do see him coming on later in the game as a sub. 2-0

Can't afford to underestimate them, we need to keep getting all three points each match.

SAF stated that he will rotate the squad over the Xmas and New Year period, due to the volume of fixtures, and with the rejuvenated Toon on the horizon, I expect a few big names to be rested against Reading; Giggs, Neville and Rooney perhaps. The likes of Park, Brown, O'Shea and Fletcher should play. I expect a narrow win; say 4-1. I'll just be happy with 3 points tbh.
