Preview: United v WatfordSIR Alex Ferguson believes United are ready to blast an unlucky opponent with both barrels.
But with basement side Watford - without a win away from Vicarage Road this season - at Old Trafford tonight the Reds' boss has also warned about the dangers of complacency.
United haven't taken anyone to the cleaners since Bolton were trounced 4-0 at the Reebok in October.
A number of impressive scorelines have been wrecked in the last month or two due to late goals when the leaders have taken their foot off the gas.
United's goal difference remains superior to rivals Chelsea by 13 goals and the chance to improve that against Aidy Boothroyd's strugglers comes with a caution.
"We'll give someone a hiding at some stage, I think everyone's been saying that for quite a bit," says Sir Alex.
"We'll score a lot of goals in one or two games. The important things are one: we keep our consistency going because we are playing well. Two: we don't take anything for granted because it can come back and bite you; and three: we make sure we enjoy it.
"The players certainly look as though they're enjoying it at the moment. Their training sessions are great and they're playing well. They're getting about the game with great gusto, great determination and team spirit.
Warning
"But you have to be careful after every game now. I'm echoing what I said after the Arsenal game - there are no more warnings now.
"It's down to the pure nitty gritty - we must win all our games. The only way we're going to do it is by saying `this game is going to be won and then we can move onto the next one'."
United proved their bounce back ability against Portsmouth in the FA Cup last Saturday after the cruel drama at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal, and their hero at Old Trafford, Wayne Rooney, looks set to carry on playing.
Ferguson had initially suggested the striker might be on the bench - but with Louis Saha still to recover from a knee injury, the United boss looks set to draft the England star straight back into his starting line-up.
Cristiano Ronaldo is also available again after enjoying a brief break in Dubai, while Edwin van der Sar will replace Tomasz Kuszczak in goal.
Meanwhile, Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster is ineligible for the trip to face his parent club United.
Richard Lee is set to step in as the Barclays Premiership’s bottom side take on the leaders. Striker Darius Henderson missed training sessions with an ankle problem but should feature and defender Malky Mackay is expected to shrug off a calf niggle.
Centre-back Danny Shittu (ankle) remains a doubt and midfielder Gavin Mahon is still being troubled by a calf problem so may remain sidelined.
