It's 13 years to the day since we secured our first ever double with a 4-0 thrashing of Chelsea in club football's most famous cup.
Let's hope for a repeat, I really think we can turn 'em over, wish Saturday would hurry up and arrive.

i am so nervous about this game i am praying that we can win it. Too be honest im not that nervous. If we were trophy-less then yes id be feeling the strain, but in some way it takes the pressure off as the players already have a trophy so it will still be a good season. Winning the double would be sweet and after last Wednesday's game im highly confident, and whilst ill be gutted if we lose, I will still enjoy the summer knowing that we are champions.

hey mark, change the threads name to make it, CHAMPIONS - blue scums... , and remember it should never be " chelski - united" because this is a final and a neutral ground, and united are number 1...

It's just great to see the words "FA Cup Final", "Manchester United" & "Wembley" in the same sentence again. It's great to know our team is going to be one of the first to play in this historic game, but it will be even sweeter if we win it, then Manchester United will be the first winners at the new Wembley. I think we're in for a fantastic final. If I have to predict a score, I am gonna go for a 2-1 win. Michael Carrick & Nemanja Vidic for United and Drogba for Chavski.

I believe that goals will probably be from set pieces or the odd defensive gaffe following a counter-attack (preferably with Chelsea screwing up) as I really dont see open chances given Mourinho's play safe and park the bus in front of goal with Drogba as the battering ram style of play. That said Chelsea will be determined to win the FA Cup; bear in mind among other things Mourinho hasnt won this trophy ever since he came (and I hope he doesnt ) and Chelsea were in fact the last team to lift the cup in the old Wembley back in 2000. They will want to stop us. This is the new Wembley, and it will be a privilege hearing Manchester United being called the FA Cup champions in this reincarnation. ON FOR THE DOUBLE LADS !!!

I'm not nervous at all.
Chelsea will be out to avenge losing the title .. but then again, weren't they out to avenge Liverpoo in the CL .. look how bad they turned out then. I'd put it down to their semi-final against Rovers. They had a good first 45', then a bad 2nd half. They'd probably not be in this Final had Pedersen scored on that header 10 minutes from time (inches wide).
It's tough to call, but I'm feeling up for it.

I think we'll have an edge over them, I think we'll squeak a 2-1 victory.

I still have that 4:0 on tape, recorded 14 years ago. Cantona with 2 cool pens. Amazing goal from Hughes and then Ince rounded the keeper and unselfish of him lays of the ball for Chocky to make it 4 and what a way to end his career. Not forgetting Glen Hoddle indulging in his "player/manager" role This game will probably be tighter though. Chelsea should be desperate to win this. But so will we after what happened 2 years ago! I'll go for a 1:1 then Rooney to score the winner in ET.

The pressure is more on Chelsea than ourselves; although it would be great to win the double (again ). It looks a though the Neviller and Saha will not be available; which is a shame on both counts. I think the team will be thus: - VDS Brown Heinze Ferdinand Vidic Carrick Scholes Giggs Ronaldo Rooney Smith It pretty much picks itself really. The only doubt is whether SAF goes with Fletcher in place of Smith in order to dominate the midfield and rotate Ronaldo, Giggs, and Rooney up front. I'll go for 3-2 to Utd with Ole coming off the bench to score the winner in extra time!

im hoping for a strong as possible lineup from our side. if we get any silly training injuries between now and saturday i'm gonna be devastated. i hope we go there and blow chelsea off the pitch, cos we definitely have the ability to do that. the players interviewed after the prem trophy ceremony all said they'll be focussing on the cup final so i definitely think our team is ready for this. not making any predictions but i really pray we can achieve the double. gosh, after saturday, football season is truly over. that's bloody depressing.
