I saw that on redcafe. A few of the members on there made silly bids to boycott the auction.

Pricks. A lot of them didn’t even open up their packs given by Utd just so they can sell them on ebay for more. Are they even Utd fans ffs

Like i've said they ain't proper united fans, now i don't go regulary infact i've never seen united play at old trafford but i can assure when i do go i will sing my heart out and treasure the programme for ever. I've still got all the programmes my dad got from 60's/70's and i also have every Telford programme for the last 4/5 years. These are just glory hunting day tripper "fans".

.. the city fans are selling as well. that said, of course the loss was greater for us than city, but it was a memorable day in history for football as a whole. was bound to happen, though, the selling on ebay. not saying it shows class, but its no surprise either tbh.

Is it a massive deal?
The scarves are made in China, the programme is on shitty paper, it wasn't really anything special. Of course, I'll be keeping mine, because I'm a sentimental ol sod, but am I massively concerned about being selling theirs? Not really, tbh. £15k some of them are going for. If some stupid bastard is going to pay £15k for a bit of tat, then let them.
(I think the way the game was played has completely disillusioned me)

I'm keeping mine forever because of the sentimental value saying that I keep every programme and ticket that makes it home (provided I'm not too pissed and lose one or the other).
Wankers, I think.
Half of them just sat there anyways, it's not like they made an effort at the game and now they're making a few bob out of it. The cunts.
I'm against the game 39 but you know what wouldn't surprise me. There being a better atmosphere at the overseas game than any of the other 38!

(I think the way the game was played has completely disillusioned me) In the general scheme of things perhaps not but I think it's indicative of where the game continues to go and there's a growing feeling that traditions and loyalty are slowly fading in this new world of customers over supporters. The items are just paper and cloth but they're mementos of a shared experience of remembrance for the lives lost, and now they're being peddled like everything else nowadays. I'm starting to become disillusioned with football and not because I've lost love for the sport but as a result of the siege it seems to be under by those who are looking to make as much money from it as they can with little or no regard for what makes it great.

The day I start hating or being disillusioned by football is the day I stop supporting United.

I don't think I can become disillusioned, unless we start to play like Liverpool, that is.
