We can win it anyway, and I hope Messi is not fully fit, gets pissed over by ROnnie, gets booked in anger, misses his chance for revenge, we walk it through to the final and Ronnie wins Ballan D'or.

Messi plays barely a half at the weekend, and suddenly he's match fit? hmmm not sure about that - whilst he is still a quality player and will no doubt give a boost to the barca, an unfit Messi must be better for us than a fully fit Messi! Prediction: 2-1 United!!!!!!

Well, here we go then. A game that should really be the final in terms of the 2 teams on show and it should be an exciting tie. More exciting than the other semi which will be as boring as ever with 2 boring teams. Over all im confident that we will get through the game, and hopefully we will do it with a bit of an attacking frame of mind, but not too much as we need to keep the score as low as possible should we lose. Its two teams based on attacking with great players on either side. On this board, people have been saying that they are missing Ronaldinho, but he has hardly played anyway, and is probably going to Milan in the summer anyway so it won't make much different. What will is the absence of Puyol. What won't help is the return from injury of Lionel Messi. Like Kaka last season, he has the abilities to knock us out on his own, but unlike last season we have a fully fit defence to deal with it. I still think that if Nemanja and Rio had played against Milan, we would have been in the final. My team:
EVDS Brown Rio Vidic Evra Carrick Hargreaves Anderson Ronaldo Rooney Tevez
In my opinion, Anderson must play. He is maybe a little bit keen in Europe when he goes in for challenges, but on a stage like this he can really shine. We don't look as good without him in my opinion. Id say 4-5-1 with Ronnie and Rooney pushing up when needed. Carrick can play those killer passes and Scholes has the experience. Change to a 4-4-2 as the game goes on, but if we grab an early goal, sit back and take our time.
Im gonna go for a 2-1 United defeat. We are not playing brilliant at the moment and this is Barca's only chance of a trophy so I think we will lose. The away goal will be huge though and I think we will get through in the second leg.

Van Der Sar
Brown - Ferdinand - Vidic - Evra
Ronaldo - Scholes - Hargreaves - Giggs
Rooney - Tevez Expect that to turn into a 4-3-3 with Rooney and Tevez pushing out wide and Ronaldo up the middle. It always happens, Rooney's defensive abilities means Ronaldo goes up the middle and Rooney goes out wide. A lot of people are questioning whether Giggs and Scholes should both start, I'd start them both definitely, especially away from home too. I think Giggs is vital in this competition especially at this stage and his experience and style will help a lot. I'm going for a score draw, which will leave United in control of the tie. 2 - 2Ronaldo and Scholes to score, don't ask why just got that feeling.

I'll honestly be happy if we manage to score a goal.
I'm hoping for 1-1.

I just want an interesting game, with at least 5 goals. The majority to come from Man United of course. Scorers are Rooney 29' Vidic 44' Ronaldo 60'

I have a feeling that on Wednesday night we are going to see Anderson's first goal for the club. I seem to remember a certain other Anderson scoring past us 10 years ago in the 2 games so i think this is an omen that our Anderson will take over from Sonny Anderson to become the better of the two Andersons, if you understand what I'm saying.... I would go 4-5-1 with the obvious goalie and defence with a midfield of Ronnie, Nani, Anderson, Scholesy and Hargreaves as he has more pace than Carrick and we are going to need someone to work tirelessly all night tracking Barca's danger men and we have all seen the engine he has when it comes to the big games. We will take it 2-1 with Anderson scoring first followed by a massive, rocket powered header from Vida's concrete head. Cant wait to crush the scousers in Moscow!!!

Did anyone know that Messi is a yellow card away from suspension? Lets hope he gets booked and misses the second leg. Take Messi out, and I think we will be ok, but the guy is a genius and the obvious danger man. Its like Kaka and Milan. Take one out and we can win it. So is our boy Ronaldo

I want to see a better performance than recently and an end result that leaves us well in it come the return leg + boosts our confidence for Saturday's (other) block-buster!

Henry sits out Barca training Thierry Henry missed training through illness on Monday as Barcelona step up preparations for Wednesday's clash with Manchester United. The France international, who was an unused substitute in Saturday's goalless league draw against Espanyol, was suffering from a fever and it remains to be seen if he will be fit in time for the Champions League semi-final first-leg clash at Nou Camp. 'Fever' my arse. Henry will definitely play.

scholes will play, against the top sides scholes is usually good. Its going to be so interesting but I smell fear in the barcelona camp, there fans know there not good enough and with the way the team has been playing we need to go at them like a bull in a china shop.
