My personal choice would be Riquelme and Carrick

Yeah Crilly Im with you on that. I personally think we have a great chance of signing Riqueleme as long as it's b4 the World Cup cos I reckon his price will go through the window if he has a good tournament but Carrick will be a lot harder to come by especially with the Spuds being in Europe next season and they won't want to him go. Nolan, Diarra, Reid, Reo-Coker, Gattuso NO THANKS! Jon "Two clubs" Obi can get to feck too

Carrick?? =/ He has talent, can spray the ball around in space, but he's just not solid enough to play in a deep Midfield role and just isn't creative enough to play in an advanced Midfield role. Let him stay at Spurs.
Riquelme on the other hand, tends to make the whole game revolve around him with his intelligent and ultra creative passing. Not to mention does it at the top level. Carrick has no continental experience that is needed to play at United.

Diarra, Nolan and Gattuso are all 3 times the player Carrick is.

Diarra from what Ive seen in the Champs League is nowhere near United Quality maybe I sen 3 or 4 bad games of his but nothing to make me think otherwise.
I won't even start with Nolan he is shite, he will never become a big player and I doubt any team in the top five would look at signing him.
Gattuso, great tackler rum as but he doesn't even have the most defensive job in the Milan side Pirlo does and thats because Gattuso is no good at finiding space, his distibution has always been poor......He's a ball winner at best.
Carrick - Ask any Tottenham fan whom they rate most at their club and I reckon most will say Carrick and he's been awesome this season. Some say he's part of Svens new plan B with Gerrard playing a more attacking role with Carrick in a more holding role

I'd also take Davids on a Free for a coupke of years if people are so bothered about European experience.

its not the worst suggestion ive ever heard, he is a decent player and certainly a goal threat. However, I think we need two players of an even higher calibre if we want to win the league.

nah. we only need 1 midfielder and that's David Beckham.
so the midfield is as follows > ( from left 2 right ) > C.Ronaldo - Giggs - Park - Beckham
