nah. we only need 1 midfielder and that's David Beckham. so the midfield is as follows > ( from left 2 right ) > C.Ronaldo - Giggs - Park - Beckham So you would like to see a midfield that consists of four wide players? currently, giggs sometimes plays in midfield along with oshea. i guess giggs and park in center midfield will do a great job. and yeah, if that sounds weird, these 4 players can change positions making it difficult 4 the opponents umm but i really like watching becks as a right midfielder, not as a half defender like he used 2 play @ real madrid

For me ideally Diarra and Ballack. Not likely though.
I don't want to see Giggs in the centre next season, he's a wide player; we should be getting in established central midfielders.

i agree with giggs going on the wing , but i would prefer Ballack and Riquelme, even though chelsea want ballack and are probably going to get him

I voted other, Carrick and Scott Parker.
It's like the classic Keane and Scholes partnership quality and grit now thats what u want in midfield, plus they're both english so they'd settle in really quickly.
I wouldn't want RIquelme, he's had one good season and even at that he looked out of his depth against arsenal and very very uncomfortable with the close attention paid to him by Gilberto and co and Gilberto is one of the least physical mifielders in the premiership so I'm not sure if he'd get the time and space he needs in the premiership.

If any pair do come it will be Diarra and Riquelme, there's your two world class ones. Not convinced two midfielders will come with Scholes back and Jones coming into the running. Would like to see Reo Coker, Nolan or Carrick alongside Diarra in the future.
Just can't bring myself to believe Fergie just happen to be in the same London hotel as the Villereal squad 'doing business' and not about Riquelme.

maniche from moscow and gattuso from milan. Maniche! Why not sign Kewell to replace Giggs while your there! I'd like Gatusso and Reqeulme that'd be good! But if not maybe Carrick, the more Englsih player the better imo!

Diarra and Riquelmé - they have got the perfect balance. We haven't had that sort of balance they would provide since Scholes and Keane n their prime. I'm not saying they'd be that good but they'd do the job.
But, if we are priced out of a deal for Mahamadou Diarra then the next option for me would be Riquelmé and Carrick.

I would like to see Mascherano and Carrick but can't see it happening.

more english players = less european players= less chance in champs league How? Arsenal have an all french team and they made it to the final We had an all English and Irish midfield when we made the final and won the trophey. Downing - Carrick - Parker - Lennon Now thats a midfield that would bring the glory days back.
