Has anyone heard anything on him possibly coming to United? I read it on a different forum. What do you reckon? I think it'd be a great signing, especially because we could scoop him up for next to nothing.

Yeah the story has been around the forums, and i think there was a small article in one of the rags about it. Not sure about him; i hope that if we were to buy him it would be as a striker and not some silly delusional notion that he can pass as a midfield player. But you never know lately.  |

I wouldnt want us to fork out a lot....but a few million, I think it would definately be worth it. Didnt we spent £5mill on Evra??
I agree though, definately as a forward. He might be more inclined to go to a club where he gets more first team action though.... apparently Blackburn are interested too.

For a few million i would say buy him definitely. He isn't blessed with pace but he's a very creative forward- reminds me of steady Teddy in many ways.

Didnt we offer £10,000,000 for him a few seasons back and they rejected it? What's happening with him at Chelsea anyways? He unsettled by them wanting a goal scoring super star?  |

Not over keen on getting Chelski rejects, dont think he will solve any problems in the middle of the park,we need automatic first teamers brought in...

I agree with matkaman, i don't exactly want chelski rejects. But with Ruud set to leave apparently if gudjohnsen is at the right price i'd say buy that would give us a few more options up top,but DO NOT buy him if it would mean not getting two midfielders.

I don’t mind Gudjohnsen; he’s a good little player who’s very creative. He just doesn’t get enough opportunities at Chelsea. Although I don’t think he’s exactly what we’re looking for.

I dont think he's really a Chelsea reject, Gatorade, but more a Jose mistake. He's far more capable and talented than Drogba or Crespo upfront. Jose tried to make him in to a midfielder, and although he's decent enough in that position, he is without doubt a forward.
If Jose wants rid because Gudjohnsen cant play his new position, fair do's. I'd be more than happy for United to take him for a few million and play him up front!

Gujohnsen would be a good move. Look at all the letters in his name. Haha!
Seriously, top player, if Blackburn are in for him, we should be sniffing round too, it's not often players of his quality are available. For me, he'd be the next Solskjaer.

That'd be a great signing. I thought he was fitting into his new role really well (so did alot of pundits) but then Essien came in and he's out of favour. He's underated and if we could pick him up for 4/5 million i'd be happy! One of the only only Chelsea players who doesn't make me gurge when I watch them play!
