What are your thoughts on this?
Personally, when i saw Tim play in his 1st season he looked like a good keeper, he just lost the confidence later in the season. So i guess we will see how he does.
also does this mean Foster is coming to be Van Der Sar's number 2 next season?

Not the best of clubs to go to I guess.
I too thought he’d be a great keeper, but I’m quite happy to loan him out, he isn’t going to get experience sat warming the bench. So it might do him the world of good to be loaned out.
As for Foster, I’m 100% behind the idea of him being the number 2; he’s a good keeper, at such a young age too.

My only worry is that now we have no decent cover for VDS, but I suppose Howard can always be called back.
He's a good keeper, and so I think it's great for him to get some proper experience.

Tim Howard is a good keeper his flaw is that he relies on his confidence a lil to much. when he is confident hes a great keeper if his confidence is low he struggles. He is definately a confidence player ,if he can get over that he'll be a a very good keeper.

It will be good for him to get more premiership experience of course.
Only thing i would say is if Foster's loan club Watford win the playoffs, he could have stayed on loan there another season getting premiership expeirience too ( along with Chris Eagles). This could still happen although if it does we'll find ourselves really lacking in in cover for VDS.
