RIBERY UNSETTLED AT MARSEILLEhome.skysports.com/worldcup/article.asp?hlid=391066&CPID=4&clid=1&lid=&title=Ribery+unsettled+at+MarseilleFranck Ribery's agent claims there is a problem with Marseille chairman Pape Diouf. The exciting France winger is reportedly a target for Lyon, Manchester United and Tottenham, and is saddened by the departure of l'OM coach Jean Fernandez. "Franck has never declared he wanted to join Lyon," Ribery's representative Bruno Heiderscheid told But. "He never said that he wanted to play for an English club or anyone else. "Today, there are a few problems with Marseille's chairman but Franck doesn't declare anything. We want calm. "I brought Franck Ribery to l'OM for free and now I don't feel there is a just recognition. To the contrary. "It has nothing to do with Franck's contract and salary. It is not a matter of money. It is mutual confidence that we want. "Jean Fernandez's departure makes Franck sad. He is very affected. This element makes him think but this departure doesn't change all the situation. "Franck isn't here to choose the coach - it would be pretentious to say so. There is a contract but the situation isn't good with the chairman. "I hope he will change his mind but, today, he refuses to speak with us. He is too rigid. There are lots of troubles around l'OM and that is the main problem." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That's good news for United if he is unsettled. And, I think if there is genuine interest from us, Lyon & Tottenham we'd be in the driving seat. Manchester United & Lyon have Champions League football to offer, Spurs don't - so that's them out of the equation. Marseille maybe unwilling to sell to another French team so we'll be left in pole position if it does work out that way!...let's hope it does because he has tremendouse ability and will be a big star of the future.

He looks a good player; skilful, apparently two-footed, scores goals and decent crosser. Only seen him on two occasions on Eurosport, and in the clips that are making the rounds. Don't see him in anyway as an answer to our most pressing needs in midfield, but if he's too good not to go for then we should. If we sign him he'll have to be put at the back of the team photos though. ;D

But, the thing is we do need another winger, it hurts me to say it but Giggsy is getting no younger, and it's time we look for a replacement. Just look at what happened when we left it too the last minute to replace Keano!

much needed. evra unproven as of yet. park is solid and as been said giggs aint getting younger. richardson also shows inconsistancy as does ronaldo
so we have as pure starters giggs park and ronaldo. a talented 22yr old would be an ideal competition pusher

i dont think park is gonna be a starter for SAF, we need 2 more midfielders and SAF is watching Riquelme in the world cup.

With a supposed 25 mill kitty and money from Ruud if/when he leaves we won't be spending on a winger. When we need two Midfielders and possibly a new forward much needed. evra unproven as of yet. park is solid and as been said giggs aint getting younger. richardson also shows inconsistancy as does ronaldo so we have as pure starters giggs park and ronaldo. a talented 22yr old would be an ideal competition pusher

I think he's a done deal and certainly hope so The guys price will go through the roof after the World Cup the riquelme rumours have been going on for so long now , i think SAF will buy him after the world cup -reported release clause of 8 million. Even if thats not true he's fairly old and so would only be around 8-10.
