I may seem like a miserable sod but anyone who thinks players like Kaka stand any chance of turning out for us is not living in the real world. Real, Barca and Chelsea (like they need more players) wouldn't pass up the chance of signing the guy and he'd chose them over Utd. They are by no means bigger or better clubs than us but have the pulling we will always lack. Apart from Veron when have we ever bought a truly world class player from one of the biggest clubs? I haven't included Rooney in that sentence because Everton are hardly one of the biggest clubs and he would have probably joined Chelsea had he not wanted to stay close to home.
I'd love the opposite to be true but people have to get their rose tinted glasses off and get real with who we might be able of signing. Just wait and see. What happens will happen but at least we won't be like Chelsea, the football equivelant of Victoria Beckham - too much money, horrible to watch and no class!

Completely agree with you mate, i don't think we stand any chance of getting Kaka, although I don't think Chelsea could get him either because he is an intelligent player and knows it could harm his future by not playing at Chelsea. If he does go anywhere it will be Real Madrid or Barcelona. Although I do think we have a very good chance of getting Riquelme if we want him. He has already been kicked out by Barcelona and knows he won't be a first team regular at Chelsea. The only team I think could give us some competition for him is Real Madrid, but at the moment they are in disarray so if we move soon I think we have a very good chance. But lets see what happens after the World Cup.

kaka no chance in my opinion, but the thought of him next season is thumbs up. i'd go for riquelme i think he's a much better player than veron and not as lazy as some people say.
however with an earler comment on rooney going to chelski if united werent close i dont agree with. he knows were the best in england and knows he'll go far beyond the likes of henry etc

I agree, just isnt going to happen, unless something in him wants to play for UTD and would then give him the urge to choose us over anyone no matter what, chelsea will bid for him if hes gunna go anywhere

When we bought him, everybody in the wolrd thought we got abargain deal, one of the worlds best playmakers, yet he couldn't adapt, that doesn't make him crap.... Rquelme though does appear strong, and although he has two defensive mids behind him, and so doesn't bother tracking back, I wonder if he would for us

Some of you will laugh, but Im not convinced that Kaka is that "Ronadlhino" standard just yet

Some of you will laugh, but Im not convinced that Kaka is that "Ronadlhino" standard just yet they play very diffferent styles of football, but both are very effective. Their similarities lie in their eye for a pass.

It annoys me when people slag veron off and players like him, they slag off fergie for a bad buy, whilst at the time everyone was creaming that we signed him!
While i would love us to have Kaka, its a no, no and no, Milan would require an extortianate price for him, 30+ mill for Sheva? And Kaka is younger and is primed to be one of the worlds best, if he does get sold, it would be to Chelski as they can afford the 50 mill, maybe when kakas contract is up? But then Cheski will offer him 170k a week, so still no chance, but nice dream, would love to see him in a Utd shirt, it just isnt going to happen
