Manchester United are in talks with AC Milan for goalkeeper Dida. The Brazilian is moving into the final year of his current contract and is refusing to commit to a new deal. United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is negotiating with Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani, with Dida set to move to Old Trafford as a replacement for Tim Howard, who joined Everton on a 12-month loan last month. www.tribalfootball.com/article.php?id=1618

I don't know about this guy but I am still doubtful about keeper position in general. I know some of you like Howard but I'm not keen. Foster I know nothing about cept what I saw in the play-offs. And, I'm probably wrong cos' I'm the only one who thinks so, I don't think VDS is top drawer. Best we've got by a long chalk but ..... It's not priority number 1, but I don't think we've really solved the Schmike replacement problem yet.

Dont think we will ever replace the Dane, we need to find an unknown keeper like Shmeichael(spelin but o well) i never heard of cech before he was at chelsea, or hope we get a great youngun who turns out like casillas, but with VDS getting on, i mean getting on, man the guys old, we need someone who is quality enough to at least challenge this season, we cant keep him till hes like 28 without anyone really pushing him for 1st spot....

I don't think VDS is top drawer. How could you be serious?...Van Der Sar is one of the top 3 goalkeepers in the world, yes he is getting on but for some reason he keeps going and he himself has said he doesn't feel old. He's the best keeper with had since Peter Schmeichel and for you to say he isn't 'top drawer' is a joke.

Not interested in Dida. I too don't think he'll be a good replacement for Van Der Sar.

I'd be more focused on the Juve' situation and seeing if we can prise Buffon away from them even if they don't get relegated, i think he may want to leave anyway along with most of their team. The worlds No.1 Keeper up for grabs, Fergie won't be looking at the worlds most overrated.

When i think of quality goalkeepers i don't automatically think hmmmm who is the current goalkeeper for Brazil he must be good. Brazilian goalkeeper = avoid at all costs. ;D

Unless of course you pick him for the group stages for your fantasy football where he has kept 2 clean sheets, only Robinson, Dida and Casillas have done so I think When i think of quality goalkeepers i don't automatically think hmmmm who is the current goalkeeper for Brazil he must be good. Brazilian goalkeeper = avoid at all costs. ;D

Does anyone remember way back in the dark ages when Leeds were in Europe and they were playing AC Milan on a rainy night. Some Leeds bloke took a speculative shot from 30 yards or so? Dida didn't have to move to make the save. He dropped it over the line and Leeds progressed 1-0!
NO!
