I think Defoe is on standby, or so I was told. And I believe that isn’t his final squad announcement, that comes on Monday, again, or so I was told. So don’t quote me. We’ve all ranted towards him, he’s had the media ask him questions and look at him with puzzled faces, but we won’t know how well we’ll do until the cup actually comes around.

I think the only good thing that's coming out of the Walcott decision is that none of the other teams know who the fuck he is either, which will give us a chance to surprise them for all of, say, five minutes of the first match. By the way, how many here have actually heard of the guy before Sven named him to the squad?
