Ludicrous. I don't know if he was offered that or he demanded it, but it's a hell of a lot. I would have loved Ballack to sign for us, but no matter how good a player he is, is he worth £6.75m a year??? Me thinks not

It will be interesting seeing if Mourinho can keep all his midfield men happy. How can he keep Ballack, Maniche, Essien, Makalele, Gudjohnsen, Geremi AND Lampard all happy?

I can't see it myself. It will be a huge mistake by Mourinho letting a player like Gudjohnsen leave. It will be an even huger mistake letting him come to us, Makalele too. Imagine that?

Thats completely immoral! You could end 3rd world debt with the wages these guys earn! I mean i love football as much as the next person but are the wages really necessary! Wayne Rooney earns more in an hour than i earn in a year!
