Brazil:
Goalkeepers: Dida (AC Milan), Julio Cesar (Inter Milan), Rogerio Ceni (Sao Paulo)
Defenders: Cafu (AC Milan), Cicinho (Real Madrid), Lucio (Bayern Munich), Juan (Bayer Leverkusen), Roberto Carlos (Real Madrid), Gilberto (Hertha Berlin), Cris (Olympique Lyon), Luisao (Benfica)
Midfielders: Edmilson (Barcelona), Juninho Pernambucano (Olympique Lyon), Emerson (Juventus), Ze Roberto (Bayern Munich), Gilberto Silva (Arsenal), Kaka (AC Milan), Ricardinho (Corinthians)
Forwards: Ronaldo (Real Madrid), Robinho (Real Madrid), Ronaldinho (Barcelona), Adriano (Inter Milan), Fred (Olympique Lyon). Amazing huh! How much you think that squad is worth? Would have loved to have seen Romario in that team for the World Cup

Being Brazilian coach must be one hell of an easy job.

Although an incredible attack, I still think they are very beatable, especially in the back. Cafu and Roberto Carlos are aging, and Roberto Carlos is especially a crap defender. Dida can be inconsistent. I imagine Lucio and Luisao will be the centrals, and while both very good (a pair of hideous geezers as well), they are not top rate.
I would take Neville, Rio, Terry, Assley Hole and Robinson over them in a second.
England can field a midfield that is just as strong, if not stronger than Brazil.
But an attack of Ronaldinho, Robinho, Ronaldo (Adriano) is what is really scary here.
I have to think Brazil is a bit overrated and is coming into this cup very hyped and under a lot of pressure, in direct contrast to Japan/Korea when they came off a relatively poor qualifying campaign and entered the tournament without so much attention. I could even see them being upset in the quarter finals.

A good side, a very good side, but they’re not the be all and end all. If there’s a big upset and they don’t go through, are we favorites to win it?

I wouldn't say it would make us outright favourites to win although with Rooney playing Id say it would. Can't dismiss the Hosts Great record in reaching previous finals in all competitions and one of the easiest groups and usually host nations reach at least the Quarters
