Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Czech Republic international midfielder Tomas Rosicky from Borussia Dortmund. The 25-year-old joins Arsene Wenger's side on a long-term contract after completing his move to The Gunners for an undisclosed fee on Monday. Though no details were revealed as regards to the transfer fee, the deal is thought to be worth at least £6.8 million, which was the figure that would have activated a clause in his Dortmund contract. Full story: home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=389325&CPID=8&clid=3&lid=4161&title=Gunners+confirm+Rosicky+deal----------------------------------------------- So, as the whole world moves around us, players are being transferred from club to club and we at Manchester united are stood still. Perhaps it’s true that good things come to those who wait? But at this rate, I don’t see us signing anyone. Come on Alex, make it happen.

Well it looks like the Diarra deal wont' go, he seems to prefer Real over us. If he does, let him go there, I want no players here who don't have a 100% committment to the club. Hopefully our backup is not Aldo Duscher! , but i'm sure Sir Alex and the scouts have got a plan, and a long list of potential targets other than that wank Diarra.

I rate Rosicky, and if the price is any thing like £7 mill. then i think it’s a very good deal that the Arse have got.

Dodgy business waiting until after the world cup to sign people, will be the most expensive market in the last 4 years at least..
The closer it gets to the world cup the harder it will become to sign people also as the country's will be reluctant to let them fly away for medicals etc.

''players are being transferred from club to club and we at Manchester united are stood still''
The transfer window hasn't been opened that long, and we at Manchester United are not in a position where we can be rushing into deals because as well all know we haven't got funds that we can waste like before. I knew people were going to say we should of went in for Rosicky but in all honesty I don't think he would do good at United and am glad we never tried to sign him either.
ALSO, Diarra hasn't stated that he wants to sign for Real, he hasn't stated he wants to sign for anybody. His agent has come out today refuting claims his player is set for Real Madrid. The Spanish paper which said that is the English equivalent of The Sun.

Would like to see at least one midfielder in the bag before the wc. Prices will go up on decent players afterwards, although is always good to do some talent scouting watching the random games that nobody else cares about!

I've always thought that Rosicky was overrated.
I seen a lot of his games and i wouldn't be losing sleep over the fact that he's gone to Arsenal.

And to say Borussia Dortmund paid £18million for him, Arsenal got him on the cheap.

Arsenal have just probably gotten the bargain of the summer. His work rate is phonomenal and he plays all over the midfield. He's an amazing player. It's not really his fault he's the Bundesligas record signing. Due to a release clause IIRC.

It's annoying cos even though arsenal are one of the biggest teams in england they still get players on the cheap! Here's how it works, you have a player, under 21 from Paraguay playing for some unknown dutch team, he is signed by 4 different premierhsip teams for 4 different ammounts:
Arsenal 1.25mil Liverpool 4.5mil United 10mil Chelsea 40mil
Damned arsenal been seen as a poor club

Nobody knows how these players will perform in the Premiership.
Arsenal are not seen as a bigger club then United and therefore clubs don't bust a gut to get the money they would from say us or the Chavs.
Saying that if a player was to choose between Arsenal and United Id say we had more chance of signing them.
And how come with Arsenal you don't really hear anything until they have actually signed a player, I think the last time they went public on a player was SWP and the Chavs knicked him
