Souness looks to be on his way to palace.
surely they can do better then him?? it baffles me how that dude still manages to get a job anywhere near a football club, how many clubs does he have to screw up before people realises that he isnt capable of being a manager???
lets just hope he goes back to merseyside to manage when benitez goes to madrid!!!!

I didn’t think Sourness would manage again to be honest. Not after ruining Blackburn, then Newcastle, though to be fair, he did have a lot of problems at Newcastle, ‘bad boy’ players, injuries, but hey, what manager doesn’t have them? So I’m not making excuses up for him, I couldn’t care what he does as long as he stays away from united or England.

I can't stand Souness, he's one of the most dour people in football.
If i was a Palace fan, i'd be very worried as he made a complete mess of Newcastle United!

Well I wouldn't rule this out, Terry Venables still keeps getting offered work so chairmen generally don't have a clue about managers...

I can't imagine what the appeal is to sign him as manager... is it his wonderful interpersonal skills with his players? could it be his charisma and charm? must be his wonderful success record in the prem that does it!  |

I'm almost tempted to call C.Palace management and offer my services just to spare them Souness Syndrome...hell, before every match I'll just tell the team:
"Alright, you're gonna get out there make some good tackles and score some goals...NOW GET TO IT!!"
can't do any worse than Souness I reckon...

Dreadful manager. Loathed by Blackburn fans, despised by Newcastle fans. Used to kick his own players on the training pitch (Yorke was out for 3 months because of one Souness crippler), had fuck all idea about tactics. In fact, I'm trying to think of a more tactically inept coach. Did he know about wing play? The offside trap? How to compress the space in midfield? How to vary the tempo depending on which part of the pitch you are in?
Palace. Bad decision. Then again, Simon Jordan's a miserable bastard so maybe they'll get along.

If you can ignore the orange tan Simon Jordan has lots of sensible things to say about football; but surely he can't be serious about appointing Sourpuss as manager. Even the scousers hate him for wrecking Liverpool Football Club. |
