im sure everyone has a club that is little known or strange that they follow...even if its just looking out for their results.... my affections lie wiv omonia nicosia...who are the biggest club in cyprus (we also have the world record for having the highest attendance as a proportion of the population...even though the glory days of 70s and 80s are gone....15 titles in 20 years....since the 90s we have won 2 league titles  ) growing up in cyprus i didnt miss a game for 5 years until i moved to the uk....the days on the terraces (still standing) where the best, flares, smoke bombs, flags, ticker tape, banners and drums the best atmosphere i have witnessed...... so come on guys....where do your secret affections lie? |

Not really a secret but i support nantwich town fc who most people havent heard of. They're gonna be playing fc unitednext season which is wierd!

My mate is the manager of and my other mate plays up front for Cheadle Town who played in the same league as FC United last season.
I was steward at the game at Curzon Ashtons ground (£25 and free beer) was the reason.
FC UNITED ARE SHITE #redcard# I certainly wouldn't want to be watching that standard of football week in week out, fair play to the fans who choose to do so though.

Daisy Hill, since I live there. They were the first team to play FC United I think, and probably got thrashed, as they always do, by everyone.

well i live 15mins away on the tube from them...been seeing them for 6 seasons or so...wont be next seaosn tho...as i have a season ticket at united....
aqnyway...the team is LEYTON ORIENT.....got promoted last season...i saw 90% of their games...and wa son the pitch after they sent oxford united down and won promotion
i also mlook for AZ Alkmaar's results.....my mums best friend lives there...very nice town...anyway
they finished second in the dutch premier league last season....teams that finish 2nd,3rd,4th and 5th go in a playoff to gte the 2nd champs league place....
they played the team that finished 5th and lost over 2 legs......that team finished 19 points behind AZ
criminal!

I keep an eye out on the NY Red Bulls in the MLS...they used to be the Metrostars until Red Bull (the beverage company) bought them and branded everything with their logo. Djorkaeff plays on the squad so it's interesting to see him play here. Red Bulls recently beat Bayen Munich 4-2; not the Bayern first squad, but hey..it's a win. Red Bulls play Barca in August too which I'll go to.

Did you watch the reds in any pre season games in the states mate? Seen some pics of the crowds in the grounds and it looked awesome I keep an eye out on the NY Red Bulls in the MLS...they used to be the Metrostars until Red Bull (the beverage company) bought them and branded everything with their logo. The match at Giants stadium against Juve was amazing...the 80,000 seat stadium was sold out and when United went on to the pitch camera flashes went off everywhere...it was an amazing time. The great thing was there was a contingent of Mancs that were following United through the US trip so we were all hanging out and chanting to get all the other reds riled up for the match...oh, and there also was a lone gooner who had the nerve to start heckling us but he was quickly taken away as people started encircling him..lol. |
