Ribery would be a great signing if Ronaldo leaves.

Ribery would be a great signing if Ronaldo leaves. No. Would Ribery have had the bottle to come out second half yesterday and tear Tottenham to shreds? Would he fuck!

Klinnsman has got das boot from Bayern today so could increase the chances of Ribery leaving. Hope he doesn't go to Barca if he does leave. They will have some team.

Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness has revealed Manchester United have made a 'non-concrete' enquiry for Franck Ribery.
United are among several clubs to have been linked with a bid for Ribery, who still has two years to run on his contract.
Spanish rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid are also rumoured to be keen to sign the France international, although Bayern are confident of keeping hold of the winger.
Reports have claimed that United would look to bring Ribery to Old Trafford in the summer, if Cristiano Ronaldo moves to Real.
Hoeness has confirmed United's interest in Ribery hinges on Ronaldo's future, but would want more than the 40million euros being quoted.
"I would really not even answer the phone if the amount would just be £34m," Hoeness told Sport-Bild.
"There was a casual request from Man Utd. But then it depends on Cristiano Ronaldo."
Hoeness has also been critical of the work ethic of Bastian Schweinsteiger, suggesting the midfielder needs to consider if he wants to stay at Bayern.
He added: "You have to confront him with the question of if he wants to continue to be just one of the boys, if the performances he has showed this term are really what he wants it to be in our team.
"The performances of a couple of players are not like their contracts. We will have to think about the roughness of a potential cut inside the squad."

Interesting. Shame buying Ribery means Ronaldo leaving because I wouldn't want us to spend shit loads. Imagine Ronaldo on the right and Ribery on the left. Unstoppable!

uli hoeness officially the biggest bell end in the game, he wants 85 million for a player with no history of doing it at this level, With the way the transfer market is at the moment signing anyone at a high level is being made impossible

There are going to be some major moves in the transfer market this summer, mainly because of Perez and Citeh. The figures being mentioned are insane, but one of these 2 clubs will try to make a massive move and that will kick start everything. Ribery is a 20-25 million pound player. At best.

imo with hardwork nani can do what ribery does, no point paying anything over 25 million when we bought the rough diamond version for 17 million. advantage with nani as he has been in the prem and is younger. generally i prefer young to the two 20 miilion, talent that shines and will shine bright at utd

yep this is going to be a really interesting transfer season where prices are going to be crazy. 85m for ribery? if he is worth that, then ronaldo would be worth 200m. i agree with the fact that young would be a better option. he is proven in the EPL, cheaper and younger i think. whether villa would sell him though is a different story, but if we are going to strengthen the wings then young is your man. young, nani, tosic, ronaldo, park

Just watched a few You Tube vids of Ribery, he looks awesome and would be a direct replacement if he could be bought at the right price. Mind you, if he comes in Tevez would have to go or else we'd have 2 of the most unfortunate looking players currently in football!

The transfers of Kaka and Ronaldo have caused mayhem in the transfer market and every player Utd approach will have a massively inflated price due to every club on the planet knowing that Utd have just receieved £80m for Ronaldo's transfer plus whatever funds they had available before that. If we approached Bayern to sign Ribery they'd milk us for all the money they could and personally I don't think he's worth more than about £25m, a fee which I doubt Bayern would ever consider selling him for, I suspect they're looking for something like £40-50m, which is stupid. Still, that said, I'd love to see him at the club.

Bayern Munich president Franz Beckenbauer has hinted Franck Ribery could be allowed to leave the club.
Ribery's future at Bayern has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks with a host of Europe's top clubs chasing his signature.
Big-spending Real Madrid have declared an interest in signing the talented attacker, while Chelsea, Manchester United and Barcelona are also thought to be courting the 26-year-old.
Bayern have always insisted they have no plans to sell Ribery, but the German giants have now softened their stance with Beckenbauer suggesting the French international can leave if he wants to.
"We discussed the issue at our last board meeting and we all agreed that, if he really wants to leave, then we will deal with the issue," Beckenbauer told Bild.
Reports emanating from Spain suggest Real are leading the chase for the sought-after Ribery by offering Rafael van der Vaart and Wesley Sneijder as makeweights in the deal.

I doubt we will pay over 40m for a 26 year-old. Probably the best replacement in terms of quality and would welcome him with open arms - but doubt it will happen.
