Reports coming out that we've signed 17 year old Lucas Evangelista from our feeder club in South America, Deportivo Brasil. Apparently we have a pre-contract agreement with the club regarding him. He was even pictured at OT last year with a couple of his team-mates. There may be work permit issues so we may have to send him to Twente or Royal Antwerp for the time being. He plays as first volante, which in Brazil is the equivalent to Gilberto, Busquets kind of player. But he supposedly has more skill and technical ability for players who play in that position. www.thebusbybabe.com/2012/3/23/2897127/manchester-united-transfer-news-brazilian-teenager-lucas-evangelista-signed

The agreement is in place as you say and there are a few of these youngsters we have first pick on. The move to Twente is also usually on the cards so, if this has happened, we'll be seeing him in a year or two.
Good news for the reserves/academy!

Apparently we had 3 of them come over to train for a couple of weeks, they may even still be here. They must be quite happy with him if we already signed him up. Hopefully he has some European heritage to shorten the process of getting him here. Gladstony at Twente has his Italian passport sorted so he's free to join us in summer. We didn't keep Rafael Leao though, he's back at Desportivo.
