#MUAcademy Under-23s: #MUFC v Norwich - Grant; Puigmal, Mengi, Bernard, Devine; Garner, Traore; McGhee, Galbraith, Elanga; Ramazani. Substitutes: Kovar, Fish, Helm, Wellens, Hoogewerf.
Interesting line up after lads were humbled in 1st half vs Leeds. Maybe veteran Grant in to shepherd the CBs a bit although Kovar has had a good season thus far. Referee was a complete mentalist vs Leeds, so that maybe explains why Bernard is able to play as red was rescinded. Mengi continues to look fantastic. 17 yet not a bit of fear.
They came out the blocks great in second half, Traore finally showed up for first time this year. Hes been anonymous in previous outings. Has a huge ceiling if he can find that level consistently. McGhee has been poor, this is a huge chance to figure it out as he was sacrificed last game. Puigmal at RB is a weird one as I think he is a very good traditional outside right. He is maybe just not quick enough to be a premier league RW but his crossing is amongst the best I've seen at youth level. I get the feeling he will go back to Spain and have a wonderful career.
No Williams is very telling. Maybe he will make bench vs Arsenal. Either way hope the lads bounce back

Good game. First half was slower as both teams seemed a little bit more defensive. Devine found a few decent runs from left back but he wasnt getting final ball away until he finally found Garner who delivered with a smart goal. We were decent but not in full control. Norwich came out like a much different team in second half and the pace of game was much more entertaining. They really had our lads against the wall and Grant produced a great save. Eventually Elanga tore apart their defence and won us a Pen which Ramazani scored. Ramazani was very very good and got hacked a lot today.
Galbraith and Garner barely put a foot wrong. Traore seems to be finding his feet as his confidence is definitely higher.
Norwich are one of the better academies so was a good test today

U18s were leading 4-1 but have allowed Leicester to pull 2 back with 10 mins to go.

How many times is this going to happen before we finally give him a chance. Lad is too good for reserve football. Today they are playing the Lincoln City first team and hes running it
