How many times is this going to happen before we finally give him a chance. Lad is too good for reserve football. Today they are playing the Lincoln City first team and hes running it Aye, hopefully he gets a chance soon as he is too good for the reserves really. But then so is Chong... I believe its mental with Chong. Struggling to step up. Get the feeling he has a great career ahead of him but it might not be here

Reckon Gomes is off next season, even if he gets plenty of games this season.
Would be a shame, but would be interesting to see where he would end up & how he develops.

Hes not getting a fair shake of it. Would be very different if the lads playing in front of him where in form or at the very least playing well. He has to be sitting there wondering how his time will come in this shirt. Too good for the U23s and not deemed good enough for the first team.

Yeah, he should have a few more games under his belt by now, especially in the league. I suppose there needs to be a show of faith on both sides, but its a bit of a catch 22 though. I can see why the manager would be reluctant to play him if he isn't going to stay. And at the same time why would he sign a new contract if he isn't getting games.

Could be a big loss for us long term if he walks, but I dont blame him. Everyone poopoos him due to his stature but for my money he is physically strong enough now. I didnt think so this time last year but by end of last season he seemed he had done a lot of work

You can have any body composition and still have good attributes and skill. I like Gomes. He's courageous, he's agile and he's skillful. He needs to develop his game but I think he can be a good player for us.
