Perez has apparently chartered a plane to Madrid for Pogba's dad with a view to making a 40 million deal happen in future. Pogba to Real, Gundogan to United - everybody wins. Except, well, every club in Europe coming up against Real in the next few years. Gundogan and Matic would be fantastic. Add Suarist next summer..

Silly season part 2;
Wesley Sneijder is ready to take a pay cut to get a move back on with Manchester United. Sir Alex Ferguson waged a 10-month pursuit of Sneijder while he was Europe's dominant midfielder at Inter Milan. Now at Roberto Mancini's Galatasaray, Sneijder is keen to realise his dream of a crack at the Premier League alongside his Holland teammate Robin Van Persie.
Currently on around £6million a year with bonuses, he may drop around £1m in wages to make a move to United happen. Chelsea flirted with the idea in the summer and Galatasaray would sell for £8million. United manager David Moyes will be wary of Sneijder's age, at 29, but may have few better options in January. United are eager to find the creative midfielder they crave but are frustrated with the approach of some clubs and agents who have used them as stalking horses to hike up fees or trigger contract re-negotiations. Cruzeiro's Everton Ribeiro is one they have considered and he would cost £10m but they have reservations about whether he is the calibre required. Borussia Dortmund's Ilkay Gundogan is wanted at Real Madrid while other clubs remain reluctant to sell in January.

Agree on Pat. Was of the same opinion on Rooney as well but been mulling over it a bit past few weeks. COuld it be our stubborness that's getting us into deep troubled waters. We won't sell Rooney to a Rival PL Club, Rooney won't stop strutting his stuff and be willing to swap or interchange positions. We loose out on a player(s) who could take us up a notch or work better than Rooney perhaps. Lets say Chelsea - Shit as they may be , they are still above us without Rooney , but what if we had used him to get say Mata and or Luiz or Lukaku. I know that DM hasn't used Kags effectively or in most cases at all. But Mata is every bit a player DM will like. can play in different positions ,helps out defensively as well. Luiz is a cunt whom i daresay we could use a bit of but in the Middle not at the back and Lukaku is the type of striker we haven't had and i'd say his more like Drogba every passing day. All 3 had differences with Chelsea and weren't exactly rated high by Jose and we could have pushed for ( i Know conjecture , hypothetical at this point but still) Rooney hasn't signed an extension yet and we don't seem to be in any hurry to give one either but for as long as he is here he is hurting a younger PLAYMAKER's influence and growth. Regardless of any other knucklehead's opinion about Kags the fact is that he is the only player we have in our ranks that can connect the ball between our half and the opposite half. The only option, IMO, left is to see if Dortmund resigned to loosing Lewa be open for another striker. Whether it means we pay less for lewa or as a FM exchange or in part of getting Rues/Gundogoan. The chances as you know are very very little. None of the other top teams will , id put Ream but they will move for Suarez before going for Rooney. So i , at this point, really don't care where Rooney ends up as long as we make a pretty darn good deal of it. He shouldn't be IMO payed any less than what Blondie went for if its in PL. As an aside it's kind of sad that you rate Cole and Lingard behind Barmby and Pearson mate. Been a key player for Ole from game 1 in his central role, and won the Norwegian cup. Also now a regular on the national side (all though that's not saying much as it's Norway) So I'd say he's doing pretty good.. Hope there is a clause... There is , hence my Qn on him. Also if i am not mistaken the club is one of our feeder clubs as well. Karthy, I really doubt Klopp, or any manager who has a bit of self-respect, would waste time and 250k a week to put up with Rooney and his antics. You should also take in mind that BvB's wage structure is much more rigid, which is why they are losing players to start with. If we want BvB players, we'll need a massive clear-out wage wise and a quite a bit of cash as well. They won't be coming otherwise.

Am I the only one getting Hargreaves flashbacks on Gundogan? Pretty pricy for a player that hasn't been playing for 5 months..

At the end It doesn't matter if he plays for us or elsewhere (cept the scum), football would lose if he stops playing or gets a long term injury. Anyway, he has some spinal compression of sorts and should be back early January.

As an aside it's kind of sad that you rate Cole and Lingard behind Barmby and Pearson mate. You mean for my Sig 'Some Day' Team? They're on the bench! I rate both but we can only pick XI Cole/Jesse for Barmby/Jani would work too. Sadly I can't envisage any of these players getting chances with us this season, or in the next couple either to be honest. We don't give consistent chances to three or four younth prospects at a time anymore. Yea saw the Sig and while it made me really happy at the remotest possible thought of that happening one day sadly have to agree with you in that we may not see them anytime soon unless you know the "money from our shirts selling" is huge and us having dropped out of the top 7 cannot attract any big names. Have started to watch games back again to see Rothwell play after he was mentioned so i will take yours and Tatty's word on him. Liked and still like how Lingard, Cole play and like Januzaj(& Zaha) aren't exactly afraid to recieve balls in tight spaces or run at opposition. I have missed those days. Right Now when Kags or Januzaj plays they are double some time triple teamed , i'd like to see how teams cope if the line behind the striker had all 3 of them. Its nice to Dream. Don't know about you but i stay a lot more awake and excited when i see our Youth team play, was always able to keep tabs on till SET decided once again to take his sabbatical. SO now only watch recordings or fast highlighs of them.

AS for Real ,said that it will be a toss up between them and City and Real will win for Pogba. They will go after Suarez in Jan first since he isn't cup tied and the only reason they didn't was because Bale's took time and they had to sell to get him. Its just that i feel he'd be a toss up between Bayern and Real. Pogba would be another Twilight like pursuit by them natrually. Meaning we could have a second chance at illaramendi ,Isco / Modric

Probably a summation of Danny Welbeck's United career.

Bound to happen , not surprised , DM's continual refusal to discuss on RvP's injury and not put a date on his return coupled with our woeful performances means that this was just waiting to happen. Shit or not am not completely surprised TBH. Chico and Kags were the initial targets and now RvP , edge closer to us losing the top 4 and this will grow even louder with Roo thrown into the mix

metro.co.uk/2013/12/06/everton-ribeiro-in-talks-over-manchester-united-transfer-reveals-agent-4220242/‘Manchester United want him,’ explained agent Robson Ferreira. ‘David Moyes has been impressed. I’ve already been to England and talked personally with them. ‘In United’s opinion, he is the complete midfielder.’ Any deal for Ribeiro would likely cost in excess of £15million, but United are keen to add at least one midfielder to their squad in Janaury, and have been following a number of targets. ...pretty sure he's just another attacking midfielder.

24 year old Brazilian with no caps. Screams Everton level signing. How can this guy get special talent dispensation on a work permit when he cant get a cap for the worst Brazil team in generations?
Is this where we are now? Even the press are downgrading our rumours?
