To everyone saying our worst team performance is Leicester away - We were excellent for the majority of that match. Clattenburg fucked us. The referee lost us the game, not our performance. Just mentioning ... Penalty and Red card aside, which were ridiculous, to concede 4 against a poor side at the time is for me a disgrace. It isnt as if we needed to attack as we were winning, we should of held out even with 10 men.

Then the penalty was the biggest one. Changed the momentum completely against us. Everything thereafter is a write off for me. Anyway, was just mentioning it as a few people have already gone for it and I think they remember the last 25 minutes rather than the superb first hour and a bit. Back on topic.

Agree with most of Stewart's picks.
Oscars:
Player of the year- De Gea (in terms of impact on points). Pissed off with the contract situation so have to do this begrudgingly. Young and Herrera get special mentions. Young player of the year (under 23)- Mc Nair Most improved player- Young Best signing- Herrera Individual performance of the season- DDG vs Liverpool, Carrick vs City Team performance of the season- tie between City at home, 4-2 and Liverpool away 2-1. Goal of the season- Mata vs Liverpool for combination of skill and significance. Honourable mention for Di Maria's lob vs. Leicester.
Razzies:
Worst player of the year- Take a pick between Rooney, RVP, Falcao (not for lack of trying) and Di Maria (for lack of trying). Most dis-improved player- Evans, RVP Worst signing- Di Maria. That said I retain hope he'll come good if he hardens the f*ck up. I won't give this to Falcao as he wasn't a permanent signing, just a gamble that didn't pay off. Worst individual performance of the year- Rooney vs Hull away or Valencia vs Arsenal in the FA Cup. Worst team performance- Southampton at home.

Also lol for picking Fellaini Shaw has been our worst signing, he's played only a small number of games - it doesn't really matter if he's our left back for 1 or 10 years, this season he's been shit

I nearly went for Shaw actually. As underwheming as both Falcao and Di Maria for me, especially going by his form (and fitness) last season for Southampton.

I gave Shaw a break on the 'worst signing' front as I've seen enough glimpses of class (e.g. his complete ownage of Ivanovic away at Chelsea) to think that he's still the real deal. In terms of actual output this season, def a disappointment considering the injuries.Full preseason, more used to the size of the club and hopefully a bit smarter re: fitness (diet), expecting him to come through next season.
I'm actually really gutted re: Di Maria yesterday. When I saw him starting on the inside left, I thought this would be his opportunity to shine and calm down the exit talk. I still want him to succeed here next season but he's making it awfully hard to support him at the minute.

Oscars: Player of the year: Herrera, for the lethal midfielder he became and long-term stay. Like I mentioned in the LvG thread, the philosophy made him a better player (and he was great before). You can only choose one but I would like to mention Michael Carrick and De Gea here too. We were a jenga tower sometimes and Carrick was the piece who prevent it from falling sooner. The same analogy applies to De Gea. Young player of the year (under 23): McNair but worthy to mention Shaw. Blind has got some serious competition, may Shaw recover fully this summer. Most improved player: Young, followed by Herrera. Best signing: Louis van Gaal Herrera and Rojo Individual performance of the season: Hard one. We had memorable performances from players like Mata, Herrera, De Gea and Carrick that sure deserve praise. Young, however, will take this for me for the memorable against City (home). We were one down with City attacking and Ashley's fierce gave confidence to the team to push four. Team performance of the season: Liverpool (home and away) followed by Spurs at home too Goal of the season: Mata's second at the Anfield I always post this gif, never tired of Mata's class. Razzies: Worst player of the year: Falcao. Not because he isn't a good player, you can see glimpses of the old Falcao when he does some touches with the ball, he's a hardworking player who suffered an injury and gave his soul to be on this team, besides his sadness (even his mom sad he was unhappy). He just didn't work at the team and it happens sometimes. Perhaps he lacked opportunity, confidence, I don't know but it just didn't fit. It happens, and I'm sad he is leaving. Most dis-improved player: Robin van Persie and Rooney Worst signing: gutted to award it to Di Maria, just because his price was too high for what he did on the pitch for us. I still see him as a world class player who could improve next season, played in the right position. Worst individual performance of the year: Valencia vs Everton (away) and Rooney vs Liverpool away. Not oy he was atrocious but Mata could've had his hat-trick at the Anfield Worst team performance: Everton (away).

Player of the year- Herrera, because I'm too bitter to admit it was De Gea. Young player of the year (under 23)- McNair Most improved player- Smalling Best signing- Herrera Individual performance of the season- Carrick v Spurs Team performance of the season- Spurs at home, start of the run Goal of the season- Mata vs Liverpool (2nd)
Razzies:
Worst player of the year- Evans for overall contribution to the whole season Most dis-improved player- Di Maria Worst signing- Falcao Worst individual performance of the year- Rooney vs Hull (A) Worst team performance- Vs Everton A
