LVG's payoff would be substantial Looking at our current style of football, so would United's.

Apparently it isn't too bad. 5-7mil approx i've seen Which is pittance relatively. Utd reverted to type when it came to Moyes. The bollocks spouted about no top manager being available clouded the fact that Moyes was cheap as he was out of contract. When Real wanted Jose, they went out and spent to get him, almost treating him like a star player. If we need to spend to get Pep by paying off Van Gaal, then we need to do it.

You know we won't because it's not 'the united way'.

Who ever is the next manager i just hope that it ain't Giggs unless the supporting staff is G.Nev and Scholes. Other than that I wouldn't mind Pochettino TBH. Pep/Simeone errr maybe if they really are available cos it would atleast mean that we may actually not be boring anymore and we could possibly get to have some excitement when United play.. you know the kind of way it used to be few years back.

It would be madness to not go out and get Guardiola while he is available.
I didn't like him before because I thought his style was too fucking boring possession based crap. But looking at this dross and how awesome Bayern are, I'll chauffeur the man from Bavaria till Old Trafford if I have to.
Or Ancelotti will do too.

I will lose all hope if we don't at least try to get pep at the end of the season, assuming he is actually available.

If we don't get him, next year looks like this:
Utd- Van Gaal. Liverpool- Klopp Chelsea- Jose City- Pep
We'd have the worst manager (in the sense he's a complete dinosaur) out of that by some distance.

Guadiola if we can get him. I would love to have seen klopp here at united but that doesn't look likely now, unless we poach him. Ancelotti would be another top manager. I am not having Luis Enrique, lets be honest, Ronald McDonald could manage that team. He didn't pull trees up at Roma during his spell, he may be a CL winner but so is Roberto DiMatteo.

I think people can underestimate the size of task that is managing Manchester United.
Look at Moyes as an example: completely overwhelmed from the off. The whole club was too big for him. The next guy has to have to experience of managing a club like ours. SAF created a behemoth, so it is highly unlikely that we will see a young manager be given the reins like we did with SAF.
Like him or loath him, LvG took to this club like a duck to water. His ego/CV allowed this to happen.
It can only be one of Ancelotti or Guardiola for mine, they have the balls and experience, to take it on.

Moyes was comfortable at Everton; low to no expectation. He came here and was swamped. Whilst we give Managers latitude, expectation is always high. Too high for most.

Moyes sacked the best back room staff in football and replaced them with a bunch of lads who won duck all. (Bar Phil) The writing was on the wall when he was setting up our teams to counteract the opposition as opposed to pulverising them
LVG looked like a hero in comparison and made some good transfers. However his philosophy is too easy to play against. Sit back and wait for United to make a mistake. Works for almost everyone bar Arsenal who just tore us in two.
We need a manager who not just wants to attack but wants to destroy teams. Especially our rivals.
We also need to send Rooney out to stud
