Look at Henry at Arsenal. He hasn't been at his usual standard in front of goal so far this season, so, Wenger rested him for a while and on his first game back, he scored.
Fergie has said he would like to give Wayne a rest. Wayne doesn't want it. I love the fact when Rooney is 100% he scores goals, and scores some belters at that, but I don't see him as an all-out goal-scorer.
He's not an Andy Cole, Alan Shearer or Robbie Fowler. I'll be very surprised if he ever scores 25-30 goals a season. I view Rooney more like a Sheringham type player, a player who creates for his strike partner. Wayne has scored 8 goals in 17 games so far this season. I expect him to reach 15.
I am quite happy with Rooney's form at the moment. Primarily, I view it as Saha's job to score. Rooney's job is to create. Saha has scored 8 goals in 16 games. I'm more worried with Saha's form at present rather than Rooney's.

I don't really see what all the fuss is about, he could have had a few hat tricks in the last few games, just missing by a yard or hitting the woodwork.
It's just luck at the moment, when he gets some more he'll be banging them in.

What i wanted to point out was that before he used to make those wicked magical runs and we use to see moments of brilliance in his game but now his game has become more simple. Instead f taking on a player or two he decides to pass the ball. Whenever he has the ball at his feet I stand up because i get excited thinking he will show some of his magic but instead he passes the ball. Look at the video and then look at rooney now. I honestly think that Rooney needs to take time out of the game. Ala Henry.

Just look at what Wenger has done with Walcott. He keeps him on the bench And brings him on later on. The only reason he does this is because he doesn't want him to burn out when he gets older. Say the truth, Rooney looks exhausted at half time! Don't get me wrong i'm not criticising anyone here, Rooney is my favourite player at man utd at the moment but i just wish he comes back to being his own self.

Rooney's problem if it is even a problem is rooney is wasting alot of time and energy chasing balls the midfield should be chasing. Rooney isn't fading or anything stupid like that. He will come good people keep the faith. This is the first real time in his 3 years at the club where he is below par. It will take a big game like arsenal to get the performance out of him, you heard it here first.

he'll be back before you know it .. I mean yes he hasn't been that prolific this season its just beacuse he has been working so hard in positions he isnt supposed to be in ( i.e defending , getting the ball back in midfield ) .. that's great and all but he is at 1st A STRIKER .. have no worries , he's Wayne rooney ... He's got to score !
