Gabriel Heinze has warned that he will not go easy on Wayne Rooney if Argentina meet England at the World Cup.
The tough tackling Manchester United full back has just come back from cruciate ligament damage that saw his domestic campaign ruined after being sidelined for the past eight months.
Like Rooney, who is bidding to recover from a a broken metatarsal, Heinze was at one point a major injury concern for his country but has now shown in a series of build-up games that he is returning to his best.
Heinze could come across his Old Trafford team-mate in the quarter finals and although full of admiration for England's talisman, he concedes he will not be averse to giving him a friendly kick.
''If I have to kick Wayne Rooney then I will do it,'' he told The Sun.
''I defend my shirt when I play for Argentina. I am really proud to play for my country and I really hope I can do that in Germany.
''I always like to face the best in the world and Rooney is one of the best - I'd love to come up against him.
''He has been amazing in the last two seasons at United and there's no limit to how good he can be.'' ------------------------------------
Easy tiger, easy!

That's our Heinze alright. And, you'd expect it from him and Waz. That's the kinda players they are and it's good that they can do that, because once you cross that white line out of the tunnel there are no friends in footy, it's your team vs. The world!

a bit of friendly competiton never hurt anybody well if the "friendly" competition involves kicking then someone WILL get hurt and since both of them play for us I'd rather that not happen...
