If I were him i'd tell sven to stick it up his arse - Was 23rd man for euro 2004. Gets in the squad for all the WC qualifiers, and now he's back on stand by. Eriksson must have a severly hard neck!

Its ridiculous....if Walcott still played for Southampton he would never even be considered, and if Arsenal hadnt paid 12m for him he wouldnt be considered either. I mean, he hasnt even played a game for Arsenal, despite being on the bench when they were 3-0 at Sunderland after 20 mins. Its just stupid that he is in the squad ahead of Defoe, who is a proven top class goalscorer.
I mean, 2-1 down to Brazil with 30 mins to go, do you throw on Walcott, who has never even played against top class opposition, or Defoe who we know can score great goals.
I just feel sorry for Defoe and think he should be on the bench against Paraguay. If he played for one of the big 4, even if he had a shit season, he would still be guaranteed to be picked. And the same gows for Bent.
Sorry about the rant but Sven just annoys the hell out of me most of the time!

Well either Sven knows something about Walcott that we don't or he's sticking it to England. I can't imagine why you wouldn't take Defoe and Bent over an unproven player, but we could all be eating humble pie if Walcott comes on and amazes.
