Anyone seen the article and pictures in the Mirror today that describe Rooney as wincing from just a little chip of the ball to one of the England trainers?

No I haven't and if that's indeed the case they shouldn't push it...let the lad heal properly otherwise we'll have to find Erikson and break his 5th metatarsal...

A little article shows pics of him pulling his leg away after chipping the ball and the columnist insists that his face was wincing after contact  I guess only time will tell, he's left the scan shop in Whalley Range now apparently  No I haven't and if that's indeed the case they shouldn't push it...let the lad heal properly otherwise we'll have to find Erikson and break his 5th metatarsal... |

Well to be fair, Owen said his foot hurt and his was fully healed and fine. Was readin an article earlier which mentioned him wincing but then went on to say he was blasting them past the Keepers later on in the day without any problems so who knows. Think the article was in the times btw.

To be fair, The mirror say a lot of stuff.... generally not true.
He will be OK. He shouldnt play in the group stage so he has a few more weeks yet.
When, if, we get to the quarters he should play then, especially if its Germany weve got. If its Poland then maybe start him on the bench?

The rant editor says the Mirror sports desk knows the results....apparently complications and he wont be going ? Though they don't seem to happy to see him in an England shirt over there so im not too sure tbh. It is the mirror after all and theres no source. Lets all hope, I want to see him make foreign teams look stupid  |

He shouldnt be playing. He is only 20 so there are many world cups ahead, why jepordise his career just to be in this one.

The decision should be made very soon. I'm watching the scenes of Wayne leaving his girlfriend's house in Merseyside to drive to the Whalley Range Medical Centre for the results...(I'm fuckin' nervous!)
