Costa Rica hit back on the break!
GOAL: WANCHOPE - 12minutes. Wanchope runs through with the German defence looking for a flag, he was onside and he calmly slid the ball past Lehmann, the Arsenal goalkeeper.

My prediction has been reached already lol...it's been a great spectacle so far and the reason my prediction is a draw is because there is always a shock in the first game and I don't fancy this German side at all, especially without Ballack.

Germany hit back in an explosive opening period of play.
GOAL: KLOSE - 17minutes. The Costa Rican defence is split apart with Klose tapping the ball in beyond the 'keeper.

Germany lead 2-1 at the break
HALF-TIME Germany have dominated the first half and have constantly beaten the Costa Rican defence in the air. They should really be leading by more than one goal, but I can still see Costa Rica causing an upset and possibly snatching a draw.
The German central defenders have been caught out on more than one occasion with a defence-splitting pass, one which lead to Wanchope's goal.
The game isn't over yet and I can see more goals in this.
SCORE: Germany 2-1 Costa Rica

Giving yourself a lot of work mufcadz with the commentary. What's up missing essays? ;D
Lets hope most games are as open as this has been so far. Predicted elsewhere 2-0 to the Germans, now i reckon it could be 4-2.
Ecuador 1 Poland 1

Wanchope grabs his second to make it 3-2, Costa Rica are still in this.
GOAL: WANCHOPE - 73mins Wanchope grabs his second, a similar strike to his first. The German defence was absolutely static, only God knows why Chelsea defender Robert Huth wasn't selected.
Could Costa Rica still cause an upset?...they have around 15mins to do so.
SCORE: Germany 3-2 Costa Rica

Frings wraps up the points with a sensational 30 yard strike
GOAL: FRINGS - 87mins After recieving the short pass from a free kick, Frinks proceeded on his first touch to smash the ball into the top corner from atleast 30 yards. I must say the new Adidas football is going to cause many a problem for 'keepers because the shots are swerving all over the place, why don't they just go back to the old school Mitre style footballs?...
SCORE: Germany 4-2 Costa Rica

Not being funny but the ball is a bit of a joke, every man and his dog can score from outside the area by the looks of it lol.
