Did anyone notice how far back he was tracking during the Holland game, I haven't seen him run so much in one game in his whole career at OT. He is lazy for us, but seemed pretty hungry whilst playing for them. I wonder, does it mean he is trying to send out signals to potential suitors that he is hard working, or does that mean he has succumbed and agreed thatwhen he got blasted by Fergie for being lazyand not chasing balls, Fergie was actually right? IT will be sad to see him go, but if we get a top class replacement, I would be relatively happy - I prefer someone with more expereince, as we have several several superbly talented youngsters in the striking role. Someone around 26+ please!

Chasing the ball back in to midfield won’t do us any good, ok, I agree he could come back more and look for the ball, instead of moaning that he doesn’t get enough service, but that’s what Ruud is, a goal poacher, tracking back looking for the ball isn’t what he does.
Now, with the loss of that extra 2 yards of pace, I think he’d be better suited to life away from the Premiership.
But who knows, perhaps he’ll show up in the World Cup and prove me wrong.
