Finally, someone agrees with me. ( www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,16368,2483_1283253,00.html ) In the ''Live:World Cup (15th June)'', I think I said a few times that Lampard needs to be dropped to make full use of Gerrard's abilities. With Lampard in the both are completely crap, I'm not saying Lampard is a poor player, but I'd much rather a flying Gerrard than a poor Lampard & Gerrard or even a flying Lampard. They completely get in each others way and it's pointless, Carrick would sit and spray passes forward and wide, while Gerrard would be able to get a stranglehold on the game.

Lampard has been relatively poor for us, the better player is Gerrard, and so to maximise his potentail, I fully agree with you, put Carrick in.

Same goal keeper and back four as usual, Carrick holding, Joe Cole and Beckham on the wings, Wayne up front with Lampard and Gerrard behind him, in their natural positions. It’s a crime putting either of them in a holding position.
So it would be 4-3-3 kind of. That’s what I’d try against Sweden anyway.

Lampard should definitely be dropped, and maybe brought on if we need a goal in the last 20 mins to take long shots. It will never happen though as Sven's too scared to drop the 2nd world player of the year, and he's even too scared to bring on Walcott, so what the hell was the point in bringing him. Sven Sucks!

Cant help feeling that "I and a thousand others told yoy so". Sven still thinks that the best team is picking the best 11 players and Fat Frank and Gerraldini prove that its not. You could pick umpteen worse players who would do a better job but he wont. The arrogance - and stupidity - of the guy was proved when in an interview he said (about pretty boy) " Michael's getting better with every game - he managed 60 minutes today". In other words I've picked 4 strikers- Ones got a broken foot and shouldn't really be playing yet - Ones been injured since Xmas and still is neither match fit or on form - One's 17 and never played a decent match - One's good in the air but pretty ordinary really . In addition I've picked two wingers -one with half a season's experience( who admittedly looks good) and the other who's been injured and played one good game since Xmas. And you want him to make a sensible decision about Carrick - Don't make me laugh. And if you expect McC to be any better, I'll be surprised

Drop Lampard?? No way Jose He's a match winner and you need as many match winners in your team as possible. I agree we need to let Gerrard off the leash and the reason he's so restrained is because he partners Lampard. So play the holding midfielder but you don't drop EITHER of the two you must play them both in an attacking role as they do for their clubs. Either play it with a lone striker or play two strikers with Beckham occupying the wing back position he did when Lennon came on. (he will still pick out the passes from that position) I think Crouch and Owen should be fed more balls into the box, Becks was hardly ever out on the touchline raking the crosses in as he is capable of and therefore the two strikers who thrive from such crosses were restricted. Another restriction of Lamps and Gerrard were the fact they come too deep when were in position, Ferdinand, Terry and the Full backs should be bringin the ball out from the back and not having those two picking it up off them with their backs to goal on the half way line

It should be Our plan A and it ain't even plan B So 4-4-2 is our plan A then that diamond should be our plan B ADZ without a shadow of a doubt. Stick Beck right out on the wing where he is most dangerous and when he or Joe Cole attacks down the flanks the other stays, with Gerrard and Lamps playing soley as attacking midfielders we could score goals from everywhere. Could Rooney play as a lone striker? Not fully utilising him now Svens job ain't so fcuking easy after all but it's nice to have the option of so many World class players that we have When Neville returns he has to play!...
Robinson
Neville - Ferdinand - Terry - A.Cole
Carrick
Beckham - - - - - - - - - - J.Cole

Lampards crap anyway, all he can do is hide for 90 minutes and then pop up and kick the ball off some poor defenders shins and hope it goes in! Can't hold a torch to Scholes. When they pushed Scholsey out to the left for the last world cup I was gutted, atleast with Scholes in the team we played it aroundin midfield.

Instead of Walcott, I would of brought Sheringham (if not atleast Defoe)
Sheringham would of played greatly alongside Rooney

Couldn't take Sheringham, England booked one of those 18-30 holidays to save money!
Defoe should have gone though, how can you leave him and take Someone you aint seen play? And, am I the only one who thinks Downing is shiT?

Downing is all meat no gravy...he just runs with his head down and eventually falls over....one for the future though and the experience will give him the OXO's!

If his name was Mclennon we might have him on our books The idea of playng a 3-5-2 is quite intresting and could work but I dbout Svens that brave. --------------------------Robinson---------------------------- ------------Carragher-------Terry-------Rio----------------- ---------------Carrick/Carra/hargreaves/etc-------------- Lennon/Becks--------------------------------A.Cole/J.cole ----------------------Lampard----Gerrard------------------- -------------any of the 4---------any of the 4--------------- Maybe bit much considering we are now well under way, but still I wanted to play around with the dash key
