World Cup section mate.
My player of the tournament so far is JUAN ROMAN RIQUELMÉ, it's too early to see if it'll be like that at the end but he deserves it at this present time.

It's a bit like the Prem : Top 4 or 5, a lot in the middle, and some utter crap. And the utter crap go out to "spoil" the game by not letting the other side play. At least that lot should be out by next week and then we get the best 16; and not the best 16 plus the politically necessary 16.
The only trouble then is we go into "must not lose" attitude with both sides playing keep ball so it'll still be boring.
The one match I was really looking forward to thinking it would be a real battle was Argentina v Serbia. Well it was good in one way but hardly a contest. I do enjoy top matches but the ones I expect to be good are often disappointing. And I haven't seen a decent dust-up yet.

Well two of the top teams have been boring, Brazil and England. Where's some of the lesser teams, the saudi's have put on some incredibly exciting matches!

Apart from THAT Argentina goal, I have to say that I have been bored shitless with this WC. Most of the goals have been long shots out of the area - some good un's there I admit but none of them totally special. Like I say the Argentina goal was amazing - the only truly remarkable moment so far. I think it's great that most teams have gone out for the attacking display - it's just that most of the teams so far remind me of Chelsea - bloody boring!
