hello there, been a while since i last posted...world cup and gcse's mean ive been very busy..lol.....well as you can see from the topic.....graham poll!!!! lol
im a referee and if i did that on a sunday morning i would be told to fuck off and not referee another game....it was shoddy refereeing....a 'school boy' error if there ever was one!!! lol
d'urso did the same thing and had to get retrained.....so the premeir league must surely do the sasme with the great graham poll.....gosh the other referees who officiate or have officiated in the premier league will be smirking...read the autobiographies of jeff winter and david ellerey,,,,they dispised poll.....and they say he thinks he is bigger than football...well i agree, just look at when he officiates man u v arsenal games...he suddenly turns into a mexican referee and starts doing all the stooooooopid hand movements!
certainly gave me a chuckle!!!

He'll get fcuked for it as did the ref in the Premiership last season when he booked somebody twice and didn't send them off. end of the day their is no excuse for such a mistake. Apparently Poll was up for the job in the final, till yesterday

There doesn't seem to be "average " performances by officials. Poll just lost it and was atrocious but that's fairly typical of refs in general. Players get upset by a couple of bad decisions, show it and then the ref gets stir-crazy. More worried about games lost by poor decisions. Kewell looked offside and won the game ( a miracle he was that awake to be that far forward) but then again, if FIFA had been consistent, he wouldn't have been playing after bad-mouthing the ref the match before.
With things like that, Australia to win the cup - I reckon FIFA and the refs have staked the whole takings on Australia in the biggest betting coup of all time

Conspiracy stories - Love Em If you were to start one Id say FIFA will ensure the Italians win the World Cup to SAVE ITALIAN FOOTBALL after the crisis it's been put in with all the shenanigans go on. Italian football is in tourmoil and what better way to get the belief of the fans again? For teh National team to bring home the World Cup There doesn't seem to be "average " performances by officials. Poll just lost it and was atrocious but that's fairly typical of refs in general. The ref in the Argie game did somethng similar, gave a yellow card to the wrong person then gave out another yellow to the person who should of had it earlier :\

From Sky Sports:
English referee Graham Poll has been sent home from the World Cup, following a high-profile blunder in the Group F match between Australia and Croatia last week.
Fifa took the expected action after Poll failed to dismiss Croatian defender Josip Simunic - despite showing the player two yellow cards.
Poll's error was compounded by his decision to book Simunic a third time at the final whistle - at which point he did mete out a belated red card.
Poll's exit was the culmination of a disappointing tournament for the Hertfordshire official, who dismissed Togo's Yaovi Abalo for a second bookable offence against South Korea in unorthodox fashion - showing first a red card and then the yellow to Abalo.
Fifa also confirmed that Russian official Valentin Ivanov - the man in the middle for the infamous Portugal v Holland clash - will take no further part in the tournament.
Ivanov handed out 16 yellow cards and four reds to create a new World Cup record for the number of sanctions issued in a single match.

That referee was the spit of Ryan Stiles, perhaps that’s why he was such a comedian showing all those cards.

Any of you seen his interview on Sky Sports? Bit airey fairey at times :S Ok I know what happened must of really bothered him, but you could be mistaken for thinking he had knocked somebody over in his car or something with the way he was blabbing on
