… Its is now. (I had to use such a great quote)
So the World Cup is over.
I was just curious to know who thought what about it all.
Was it as good as it was hyped: Not really.
Who were your best team: Germany.
Who were your worst team: Brazil.
Which player stood out most: Philipp Lahm.
Which player disappointed most: Ronaldinho.
Which goal was the best: Torsten Frings 30+ yarder.
If anything, what spoilt it: Bad refereeing.

Was it as good as it was hyped: No, I was disappointed. Only a few great games.
Who were your best team: Ghana ;D No? Argentina
Who were your worst team: France.
Which player stood out most: Lol tough one.
Which player disappointed most: Ronaldinho, Henry, Shevchenko, Lampard
Which goal was the best: Rodriguez extra time goal vs Mexico
If anything, what spoilt it: Diving. There was WAY too much diving going on, and I was under the impression Blatter had said FIFA were going to wipe it out of this years World Cup... but still, rewarded players for diving (on numerous occassions, including France's only goal in the final) and punished players for being tougher (Rooney who stayed on his feet after being fouled numerous times.

Was it as good as it was hyped: Not from England's point of view but I enjoyed it, some brilliant games mostly between teams you wouldn't expect.
Who were your best team: Germany, I think they kicked the world cup off with a great goal and a great game and carried on playing well (without cheating) and scoring great goals.
Who were your worst team: Portugal. They didn't deserve to get past Holland, they were poor against 10 men England and against France were a disgrace with the diving.
Which player stood out most: Zidane. Good and bad he was the man of the World cup. Shame it ended badly for him.
Which player disappointed most: Ronaldo for his diving but Ronaldinho I expected alot more from.
Which goal was the best: Top three: Cambiasso V Serbia and Montenegro. Rodriguez's wonder strike V Mexico then Joe Cole V Sweeden.
If anything, what spoilt it: Lampard.

Was it as good as it was hyped: Not atall
Who were your best team: Argentina, were very unfortunate to go out, if they had left Riquelme on, they probs would have won it.
Who were your worst team: Brazil, abysmal considering the hype.
Which player stood out most: Rooney, everything going on mentioned him in some way
Which player disappointed most: Pretty much the hwole Brazil squad, Lampard a big dissapointment
Which goal was the best: Still love watching Joe coles
If anything, what spoilt it: Bad refereeing, cant say bad commentary it was in arabic so dint get fuck all anyway, the Rooney Ronaldo incident, its now beginning to affect football and it wasnt necassary. also Lampard just frustrated the hell out of me, he should at best, be relegated to the bench form now on

I'm surprised to see Cambiasso's in so many lists. Brilliant, they made a load of passes... but most of them were passes going back in to their own half, or parrallell. If they'd made a load of great one touches, or flicks, or passes forwards towards the goal, then fair do's. But wow, you can keep possession against Serbia and Montenegro in your own half, then score a pretty good goal... congratulations
