3 guys book a cheap motel room for $30 between them, paying the receptionist $10 cash each in advance.
When they have gone up to the room the manager points out that there is a special offer on and the room should only have been $25. He sends the receptionist up with $5 to give back to the guys.
Being dishonest, she decides to only give them back $3, keeping the other $2 for herself.
With $1 back each, the guys have paid $9 each for the room.
3 x 9 = $27. The receptionist kept $2, so the total is $29. Where the fuck did the other dollar go?!

it's all in the wording, you add the $2 dollars to the $27 which is wrong, the $2 is a part of the $27 payed by the men (25 for the room, 2 to the receptionist) so it should be the $3 dollars returned added to the $27.
