X-box360 game. Gears of War. Gears of War thrusts gamers into a deep and harrowing story of humankind’s epic battle for survival against the Locust Horde, a nightmarish race of creatures that surface from the bowels of the planet. Yeah this game sounds like every other game. But this third person shooter is different. because unlike any other game it revolves around teamwork. You can play Co-Op over X-box live (amazing by the way). The graphics and game play are incredible, and there's a gun with a chainsaw bayonet, which is very addicting to use. Also, some things that are in the game is that no enemy dies the same way, their bodies never looked the same when they're lying on the ground. Overall this game gets a 10/10 for me. Its amazing. Here's some links for vids and some gameplay. Here's some actual gameplay.

I'm getting this Friday when they get it at the local Game shop, got it on pre order. Have to complete F.E.A.R first though, but I've heard great things on it.

I want F.E.A.R. really bad, it hasn't come out in the states yet. Please let me know how it is. I have only just started playing it, reminds me a lot of Condemned if you've played that. The game style is very similar, and it is obviously trying to scare, uses a lot of the same effects as on Condemned. The graphics on the 360 are absolutely beautiful, game flows really well as well.. and you can play campaign with others, which is a bonus sometimes (although I'm not letting anyone else play untill I've completed it). It seems a really really good game thus far, that said I've been waiting eagerly for its 360 release since the trailer was first put on the net, and not been disappointed.

F.E.A.R, with its inspired Japanese horror theme is a good game, quite scary, not so much in your face scary but more psychological, things are always playing on your mind, which I find scarier (who doesn’t?). (Samara, The Ring aside) how frighteningly scary is Alma? Ghost children always scare me more than anything, scary little b@stards. Ha, ha. The AI in F.E.A.R is pretty damn advanced. I’m not so keen on the reflex time ability, I know it’s to show that you have ultra fast reflexes, but it makes the game a lot easier. Kind of reminds me of Max Payne (slow mo) too. I have F.E.A.R for the PC (which you can pick up for under £15 by the way), unbelievable bargain. The eeriness, the gore, the close counter combat, advanced AI; it’s a neat little title.
Not my personal choice of genre, but as far as Gears of War goes. Wow. My mate is a games geek (perhaps not as geeky as the group who turn up at yours Sil, he, he), orders games from all over. Out of curiosity I played Gears of War, both visually and entertainment (but what do we expect from Epic Games, Unreal anyone?) wise, the 360 won’t produce a better little than this. Tactics play the biggest part rather than just storming in, guns at the ready. I’m not one for praising anything Microsoft, but this game truly does deserve all the praise it gets.
Shame its only platform is the 360… But never mind eh, as Resistance: Fall of Man is where it’s at.
