Suprisingly, a very good movie. To be fair I wasn't expecting much because of the last few, from a corny invisible car to any number of other things you can come up with. But this movie had no corny gadgets or unrealistic cars. In fact, the new guy (having a mental block on the name) is a very good James Bond. Plus a bonus is that he plays poker throughout the movie which is awesome if you like poker. Anyways, if your a fan of the bond series or just like action movies, it's a must see. 5/5

I don’t think anyone knew what to expect with Casino Royale mate. If Martin Campbell had stopped at GoldenEye, which is a good film, then perhaps people would have been a little more enthusiastic about seeing Casino Royale, but he didn’t help himself with the likes of The Legend of Zorro and Vertical Limit (I don’t think). Daniel Craig is a good actor. People questioned whether or not he had what it took to become the next James Bond, and had it of been the slick, smooth, shaken or stirred Bond we’ve all been used to over the years he probably wouldn’t have made the grade. As it happens Bond has taken a new direction, a nasty, arrogant, gritty Bond and he suits it perfectly. Sorry to disappoint but you won’t find the trademark gadgets and cars (as mentioned already) anymore. Casino Royale is all about rebuilding Bond. And rebuilt it has been. A lot don’t, but I like the way the movie just ends, leaving you wanting more, paving way beautifully for a next installment. Some people have been quoted to have said this is the best Bond film of them all, well, it is certainly up there and only time will tell. It’s worth seeing it just for Eva Green. Bond fan or not, I’d defiantly recommend it to everyone.

I haven't seen it but I might make the effort because it sounds like they've made an effort to make something different, from the little snippets I've seen on TV etc the style reminds me a bit of the Bourne films (at least the action parts) and I liked those two films so that would be a good thing for me, plus I like poker so that's an added bonus

I'm not a Bond fan at all, but a few mates from college are going on Wednesday (it's Orange Wednesday's too so my mate should get me in free ) and so is this very fine girl going so I'm definitely going to go. I'll tell you what I think of it then. I've heard a lot of good things about it but I don't know Bond films just don't excite me like they do others.

I agree with 7even, the bond movies are changing with Daniel Craig. I also think that they are changing for the better.

saw this yesterday and i thought it was fantastic. coming from a girl who's never been able to sit thru a bond movie from start to end, that's saying something. i like this new slightly cocky, yet real, bond. daniel craig did extremely well to make this character believeable after the last few horrid bond flicks. the action sequences were heartstopping, tho i would have liked to see more of that gorgeous aston martin. it got wrecked too soon. all in all, a great movie. go see it.

I think it's a great new direction, thought provocative for once.

I could have cried when that Aston Martin crashed. It was a huge improvement to the last few Bond's, good movie.

Oh erm..yeah I enjoyed it considering I don't like Bond.
I was grimacing when he was getting whipped on his crown jewels, OUCH! The whole concept of it being based around poker was good as well, especially as I've become interested in poker over the last year.
So yeah, I'd give it a 4/5..good movie.
