Watched this film about a week ago, enjoyed it thoroughly. It's about the blood diamond situation in Sierra Leone and follows a journalist, smuggler and slave who eventually come together to help each other in the situation. There's a few noticeable actors, I'm sure one is off Holby City/Casualty one of those and then there's Leonardo Di Caprio. He's alright in this film apart from his annoying voice at times. Apart from that I thoroughly enjoyed the film and I recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.

Even though I hate Di Caprio I loved this film. Leo's acting skills seem to have improved enormously since his Titanic days as well.

Would have been better if I hadn't already seen it (Infernal Affairs) but the acting was excellent and the script was quite funny.

Came out a week ago here...saw it last night .. it left me speechless... given that i'm half nigerian, i had already heard of stories of the wars in sierra leonne , and seen people that fled from there and came to nigeria... and i saw 2 documentaries about it already... and it really got me sad... but seeing this got me really burning inside... lots of lebanese too were part of the illegal sales of diamonds and then left the country ... for those who didn't notice, remember the guy driving the plane is lebanese by his name : Nabil , spelt backward is Liban ( Lebanon in french) , its a very common lebanese name ...
anyways the movie really touched me ..it's one of the strongest movies i've seen recently... also saw 2 other movies concerning africa which were both SUPERB : Last king of Scotland and Catch a Fire... anyone seen either ??
