Welcome to the first annual RepublikOfMancunia.org awards. I am your host Scott the Red ;D
We have had a great few months here on the forum, and have seen it grow from strength to strength. The amount of regulars we have on the place after a relatively short space of time speaks volumes about the success of the forum. As much effort as staff members put in to the forum, it would all be for nothing if it wasn’t for you lot. So, this a night for all to pat each other on the back and say well done. *pats self on the back*
No, less of this chit chat, and let’s get on with the awards. The votes have been counted and verified by the ever lovely MissUnited (so blame her if you think there’s been a fix!)

Best Signature Our next award is for best signature. The introduction of the Graphics board and Sig of the Month came some time in the forum, and it is only fair that the talented sig makers, who also volunteer up their own free time to make sigs for others, are recognised. So well done to everyone who has got involved. This award is for the member you think has the best signature. And the nominations are: Redom, Red Yank and Adam. Best Avatar Along the same line is the award for best avatar. I have to admit I was rather surprised when I saw who was in the running for this. Most Helpful One thing the forum prides itself on is the nice community feel we have here. Whether there are arguments, disagreements or heated discussions, there is a lot of respect buzzing around. There are several members on here who are always willing to help another out with any problems they might have on the forum, and so this award is to recognise their contribution. Most Improved Member Whenever topics people are passionate about are discussed, emotive reactions can occur. As this forum is rather new, there has been a settling in time period for some members. There are some members who have rubbed the majority up the wrong way in the past, but have since cooled down and/or the majority have begun to get a better feel for their personality. I am very pleased that the majority of members on this forum have recognised the change in these members, whilst still loving them for their hot headed nature and pleasure in getting in to a good debate. The nominations for this award are: Vandersi, Tatty and Tom. And the winner is, a member who I've had a lot of time for since the beginning. He's a proper red, and one you're likely to get in to a heated debate with at some time in your stay at the forum, if you haven't already. Tom! Congratulations. For his prize, I'm sure he'd love to "talk" with members who believe that Fletcher is good enough for United and that Alex Ferguson is always right. |

Sorry for the delay. Seems ProBoards can't handle all the excitement of the awards ceremony. Stick with us though, hopefully the schedule should resume as normal asap. The forum thrives with the help of the members who inject humour in to the forum, whether this be in the United or General boards. Most Positive With the less successful past few years United have had, we need some members on the board to inject a bit of positivity and hopefullness in to the forum. Most Negative Member In direct contrast with the previous award, we have this award for the Most Negative Member... or the most realistic, as they'd probably like to refer to themselves as. The nominations for this award will be of no surprise I imagine. They are Tom and Tatty. And the winner is... Tom! Yet another award for him. He's going to have to find a placcy bag to fit his awards in it seems. |

Most Popular The next award is for the most popular member on RoM. A member who can make us laugh, cheer us up, gets along well with everyone, and puts in the effort. I'm afraid it's a clean sweep for the staff members on this one...which is somewhat surprising after all the stick we used to get for locking threads The nominations are: Scott, MissUnited, Red Yank and Deano...
