8-)Rugby when i mention this most of you will probably say BORING but i think it is one of the best games there is. Don't get me wrong football is my number 1 sport to watch but rugby is the sport i play with tackles flying in everywhere, trying to find the space and the pass to open up a game. Rugby is a very skilled game because you can only pass the ball back which makes it extremely difficult to get forward. You have to find the space and the footing to get past the opposition. But i think the best thing about rugby is the tackles ohh i just love tackling theres no better feeling when you hit someone so hard they go off there feet. so i urge you to take up rugby believe me you will love it

the only reason i got introduced to rugby was because my sister's boyfriend a few years back was a rugger. so he convinced me to watch the 2003 world cup and i was instantly hooked. yes football will always be number one, but i think rugby's pretty special too, even though i dont understand all the rules. i really really like it now and watch as much as i can. cant wait for the world cup this year. GO ALL BLACKS!!

i would say its tougher because the forwards have the space to run at you full pelt and when they tackle they are usually tackling somebody running at speed. Rucks are overrated lol. I find union boring, far too technical and slow, plus the club game is a bit shit. Still each to their own, would have thought there would be more league fans on here actually seen as there are plenty from the north.

I played rugby at school for about 2 years. I got introduced to it by mates and thought like alot of people its pretty dull, but after my first practice despite being sore I loved it. I played in the forwards so I had permisson and liscence to let rip. I enjoyed it but when I tried out for the towns team the practices and fitness work was ridiculous. I have a appreciation for those lads that play it pro because its bloody hard stuff.

I don't agree that football is more exciting to watch than rugby. The chance of a comeback seems to be a lot higher in rugby than it is football. Anyone who watched the Six Nations match between France and Ireland will know. And the England v Australia World Cup match before that (ah, just can't live it down). And the Wales v Ireland Six Nations match before that. Now, United, that's a different matter. Playing rugby, on the other hand, is a lot more fun; you are always on the move and never motionless as you maybe as a centre forward in football when your team is getting absolutely whooped. I'll agree with you loffs, there is nothing like the high you get when making a big hit. I once went a whole match without missing a tackle, and all of them were dump tackles. ;D We recently went on tour to Italy and one of my mates hit a guy, he did a 360 spin in the air and just avoided landing on his head! Maybe you'll want a look: And yup, that is me following up with another dump. I'll agree with you there though stretfordend, rugby league seems a lot tougher. I doubt it's a lot funner to play though. There just seem to be too many stoppages in it. And mufc? You're from Singapore? I'm your northern neighbour from Malaysia!
