People who drive round in circles are not sportsmen, so that's Schumacher and Rossi out the equation. Are u jokin? how can u say they must stay out?? you talking about 2 of the most amazing drivers of this time both 7 times world champions no one won so many titles as they did (Agostini apart with bikes winning 15 world championships-but he won them riding in the 500 and 250 at the same time)beating all the records! talking about pole positions and podium! u cannot leave someone like Schumacher and Rossi out its no sense! Because going round in a circle ti an hour and half really fast isn;t sport.

Nadia Comaneci as nomionated by Kokka was a good choice. The first 'perfect' gymnast and guess how much she earned whilst at the top of the world Nothing !!! The whole Steaua Bucharest football team that became champions of Europe in 1984 too. Guess how much they were paid for winning the European Cup Nothing !!! Romania was communist back then and sportsmen and women were unpaid. Bucharest was made up entirely of Romanians with no foreign imports or 'superstars from Spain, France, Italy etc etc......just a bunch of Romanian boys who wanted to win. These are the greatest sportsmen and woman for me because they weren't driven by greed or desire for wealth but FOR THEIR SPORT !!!

I guess the only Gymnast to "win" money at Nadia time was Olga Korbut in Monaco 1972.

you can't say that about the credentials of motorcycle or F1 drivers kokka, you have to be phenominial agile and fit to do what rossi does. Less so for F1drivers but the G forces still require proper fitness, how many fat F1 drivers or fighter pilots have you seen before.

Many, many superstars but none of them got any money. For instance the guy who whooped that skinny guy from Bolton - Ahmed Khan ? or whatever his name is. Theophilio Stevenson won 4 olympic gold medals at heavyweight and died penniless..... Communism ruins people and places - it ruined my fucking country and now we have to try to rebuild it and pick up the pieces

Whoever said Stone Cold Steve Austin, mwah! Sir Matt Busby laid the foundations for Manchester United to become the force we are now and Sir Alex Ferguson continued his way and brought United even further. Those two have to be in there somewhere, eh? But yeah Muhammad Ali, for me. He'd say he was the Greatest and no one could argue although I feel had Mike Tyson had none of his demons, none of the cunts fuckin' up his career and kept his feet on his ground, I believe he'd have been as great as the Greatest!

Bobby Charlton for me, partly because of the affinity we have for him but mostly because he WAS the model sportsman. He came through enormous tragedy and went on to become one of the only 2 Englishmen to hold both a european and World cup medal.
He has become an ambassador for the game in general, and what's more my dad would vote for him, so i'm going to as well.
