Mayweather deserved it. Ricky didn't get any clean punches in on Mayweather, regardless of how hard he worked. Mayweather reminds me of Chelsea. He's a cunt, just like the majority of Chelsea players, he's boring and defensive, like Chelsea tactics, but then throws a fucking MEAN punch, just like Chelsea so often catch their opposition on the break after they've worn them out. Credit to Ricky, he kept going for him, taking the punches to the chops over and over, but wouldn't stop pushing forward. Mayweather, ugh god, what a tosser. He has to be one of the most irritating, unlikeable, twats in the World. Quality fighter, but fuck me, what a wanker. Ricky: "What a fluke that was eh?" lol

As a Mayweather fan that was a very exciting fight. The British fans really made that fight special as you could hear them throughout the fight chanting their songs. But without a shadow of a doubt Mayweather was the better fighter out there. He accuracy is truly amazing. In round 8 or 9 he landed 11 out 15 punches while Hatton missed all 8 of his punches.
They showed the scorecards after the fight and Mayweather would have won by a unanimous decision anyways. As Mayweather said.. hes fought fighters like Hatton and won but Hatton has never fought anyone like Mayweather. Thats 39 boxers who couldnt figure him out!!

I guess we have to pin it all on Amir Kahn now. If your gonna try this kind opponent you need real ring craft and ricky didn't have it.

Sad to say but Hatton was outclassed. Mayweather was far too slick and clever. Hatton couldn't apply his anticipated pressure and Mayweather showed his full range of skills including coming inside and messing Ricky up with his own body shots.
Hatton has struggled whenever he's gone up a weight in trying to bring his power up a class. Trouble for him though is that all the really big fights are at welterweight. Going back to light-welter i'm not sure there are the fights to really excite Hatton.
Usually after a 'mega-fight' like this there's the almost inevitable clamour for a rematch but it hasn't happened with this one probably because of Mayweather's comprehensive and dominant performance.

I told you all. Don't believe Hatton's hype. Outboxed, out-thought and outfought by Mayweather. Mayweather will go down as a true modern great in the sport alongside the likes of Eric 'El Terrible' Morales & Marco Antonio Barrera - he's beat everything that's come his way and in his fight against the Hitman it was the best I've EVER seen him. Hatton though deserves a lot of credit, he was clearly up against a better boxer and a more clever boxer but kept going and kept trying to keep the pressure on but it just failed to go for him and I did feel for him in the end. The British fans were excellent and no trouble kicked off - a credit to the country, for sure. As for Mayweather, fantastic. Drew him in and hit him on the inside and the outside - the eighth, ninth and tenth rounds were just an exhibition in boxing, Mayweather exploited Hatton as he tried to come out on him and rescue the points because he was well behind by the time. The occasion got to Hatton and I could tell that from the weight in, he lost all his tactics and all the plans went out the window. Mayweather was just cool, calm and calculated in his boxing. Great knock out! And still the best pound for pound boxer of the world, the Pretty Boy, Floooooooooyd Money Mayyyyyyweather! ;D It was great at the end to how both men had no hard feelings, Mayweather was great with his mind games and he showed thats all it was. Fantastic. Great fight and worth the wait. Now I can go get some kip, been awake since. Feel fucked. Been a great weekend of sport though. United win, Liverpool and Arsenal lose. Khan and Mayweather won. #boxing#

Mayweather was a different class.
Your right Busby Boy, they did a terrific job on the hype though and got a massive pay day for it!
It got my hopes up too, have to admit. The stats before the fight were pretty ominous though, the slight differences in weight were managable, but Floyd has arms 6" longer and about another head on Hatton, so Hatton was just fighting on passion really, not much else he could do against such a good fighter.

Hatton was simply outclassed!. if Mayweather was not such a cunt he would have many more fans including me but theres no doubting his quality. Hatton will be back! he did not seem right fighting at that weight. now for calzaghe v hopkins! calzaghe WILL win that one

This world class fight, that should have been the fight of the decade was marred by a fuckwit of an official. The ref was at Hatton constantly for the first four rounds......it upset Hatton and put him off his game and to be docked points for hitting Mayweather on the back of the head was a joke. He never actualy made contact, Mayweather had turned his back to him ( the fraze is defend yourselves at all times ). Mayweather deserved his victory ( he picked his man off with some superb shots), but I would like to have seen a nutral ref. Only once did Matweather get pulled up despite constant use of his elbows and forearms and ducking below waist height, holding and spoiling. It made a farce of the world title to have such an inept ref. As for compareing Hatton to Chelsea and calling the guy a cunt.............. #furious# your just showing your own class !
The best man won..........
