Are you interested in joining our Xpert XI leagues?
Are you a current player and are interested in continuing playing in our Xpert XI leagues?
Then read on...We're coming up to the end of the season with our Xpert XI leagues and I'd hope to think it's been great fun for all involved. For those of you not sure what Xpert XI is, check out the thread where you can ask current players or check out www.xperteleven.com and have a browse around. Our leagues are free to enter, free to join and are for ROM members. What I'm planning on doing is looking for managers who will be available to fill the gaps of managerless teams left in the leagues but also looking for those who are willing to join and if we have the numbers I may form a third tier of the competition to accomodate those new players. It's pretty easy to use, bags of fun and the banters quite amusing too. So what do you have to do? - Those people who are interested just put your name forward here. - Those members who are already participating and want to continue participating for season two to say so also giving me their team name. Thanks Any more info needed just drop me a PM

BB, i got a few things to say. first of all. can we keep 2-3 teams that are managerless but are still doing "OK", because i mean we always need some team that we can beat, and depending on how many extra players we get, i would like to see the leagues with less teams. because i mean having for an example 11 teams in one league makes it around 20 matches to play, thats 20 weeks(because of the 1 league game per week), that awful long time. if you could maybe cut that to 8 teams in every league it would be ace

Hmm..I'll take that into consideration mate. So shall I count you in for next season? I was looking on keeping to a 10 team league quota and of course if we got say, 24 or 27 teams looking to play we could make it an 8 or 9 team league but then it'll be unfair on some teams who think they're safe for next season having fought relegation. I'll get back to you on it though and will see what everyone else has to say. From now we've lost FIVE teams who have become inactive and you say we should keep some 'inactive' teams as whipping boys but I think that sort of takes away from the competition because I'd love to see a competitive relegation battle rather than the teams with managers who can't be arsed just end up there. The teams we've lost are as follows: Sporting Mancunia (9th in Div. 1) Datchet Devils (10th in the Premier) The Tribesmen (11th in the Premier) Si's All Stars (10th in Div. 1) & Saha's Stink Nuggets (8th in Div. 1) I've give the positions they're in or in the case of Division 1 finished in and it just goes to show that without a manager the teams are pretty shite and ineffective as they just represent an easy three points for everybody making it less competitive. They're all in the bottom two or three depending on the league so it's not good. Any other suggestions though are great and anyone else's views on RA's suggestions would be nice. Thanks mate. AND cheers, RDR

^oh i see.
well if we remove those teams, and maybe we will get a few more, we may have the number to make it around 8 in every league, because the 5 inactive teams will be gone...

Yeah. Let's see what everyone else has to say on the matter. Right now we have SIXTEEN active teams and if no one else wants to join it maybe viable to make it an 8 team league split but if in the case we get a lot of interest which I am hoping then it maybe something I can't change for obvious reasons. You've also got to think as well though. There are three teams coming up from the Division 1, it wouldn't be fair to then say "your promotion counts for nothing and because we want to keep an 8 team league you have to stay where you are" so we've got to accomodate that as well. I'm going through the rule book now like a mad man looking on how new teams are added to the league and how people can take over managerless teams. Redarmy United & Bongo Red 88 FC have been protected though and your places are reserved for next season You too, RnH & the Maniacal Tacklers ;D

;D
I'm definitely in! The more teams and longer the season the better because this has been a fairly easy game to keep track of. RoM Prem here we come! #dance#

Adam mate, don't count me in for next season. My Leb devils have dissapointed me, I've taken this club to it's near maximum (one place above the relegation zone that is) and can't cope with the stress of undergoing another relegation battle next season. I hereby tender my resignation, painfully. It will be hard not losing (understatement) to you guys next season whether it was home or away but I'm sure there will be new whipping boys on the bloc . This is what it is, the end of Leb devils fc .. for now. Good luck to you guys for next season and may the best man win .. -Ta ..
