For some reason I always laugh when Italians accuse other players of diving...

No stabbings from what I've heard, but I saw 4 lads with battered faces over there. Great on the whole, we owned that stadium. Doubt you could hear us that well on TV, what with the running track ruining that "close-to-the-pitch" theme.
And what a goal by Ron. Fucking brilliant. Apparently he can't remember it.

Roma ace David Pizarro has hit out at Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo, labelling him as a 'big head'.
Pizarro was unhappy with some of Ronaldo's antics during Roma's 2-0 defeat to United in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday night.
Chilean midfielder Pizarro was booked at the end of the first half for felling Ronaldo after some showboating from the Portuguese international.
Pizarro has accused Ronaldo of not showing respect to his opponents and the Roma man expects more tricks from the in-form winger in the return leg at Old Trafford.
"There is no doubt that he has quality, but it is also true that he has a big head," Pizarro told the Italian press.
"Some of his little tricks in the middle of the pitch were unnecessary and he needs to show some respect to his opposition. You can bet that we will have something to say about it in the return leg."
Pizarro admitted he was disappointed by the defeat and vowed Roma will do all they can to overturn the deficit in the second leg.
"We played our game and we are disappointed that we weren't able to make the most of our chances," added Pizarro
"Games are decided by certain moments, but I'd be interested to see how many shots they had.
"It just went badly even though we created plenty and if we had been able to convert our opportunities we wouldn't have lost.
"We still believe in our Scudetto and Champions League chances - this team will never give up."
skysports.com __________________________________________________________________________________________________ He speaks like an italian lol if they would have won the game last night he wouldn't said anything like that. i guess the 7-1 still burning inside lol Of course, nobody in the Roma team or in the Italian league has a 'big head' or a big ego. What on earth is PIzarro talking about? That's the pot calling the kettle black if i ever heard it!...there's an element of kidology in what he's saying refering to the second leg. I just hate players coming out with this stuff.

Oh, and how great was it to hear our fans chanting Viva Ronaldo throughout the most of the game United!!! United!!! I'm going to have to disagree. it was like a broken record last night and its all i could hear from our fans. After the 300th rendition it becomes VERY, VERY tiresome. Also it must be a bit of a shit to the other lads who can constantly only hear "viva ronaldo" ALL game. ontop of that - its not as good as "he plays on the left" excellent game though

Ronaldo scored his 36th goal of the season, with one of the best goals United have scored so far this season, away from home, in the quarter-final of the Champions League, which opened the door to probable qualification for the Semi-Final. It's allowable for die-hard United fans who travel away from home to sing the Ronaldo chant 1,000 times as far as i'm concerned.

The 4-5-1 worked quite well, but we only really managed to halt Roma's search for an equaliser when Hargreaves came on and we switched to 4-4-2. Before then, for 20 minutes, they were all over us. 4-4-2 is the way to go for this team, wheather we play Roma, Barca or Slavia Prague because that is our best style and teams can't cope. On to the second leg now anyway. Trying to get tickets on the exchange, but they appear very rearly and you have to be faster than Linford Christie to get them! Got tickets in the end so ill be hopefully watching us cruise to the semi's. Sweet.
