Im sure there will be a stream somewhere later on tonight. Replayed at some point tommorrow.
Im hoping for a Calzaghe win, but Hopkins is a great boxer so it won't be easy. It will be Calzaghe's best win so far if he manages it.

That fight was shit. Lost respect for both fighters, Joe for his showboating made himself look a real prick, and Hopkins for feigning injury every five minutes. I guess Joe technically won the fight although I dunno what you'd call his punches, they were like little girly slaps. Hopkins didn't once look hurt. Where as Joe got put down, and was reeling from a few hard shots.

Terrible fight, poor judges decision.
Boxing right now is utter cock-hat.

where was this great fighter they call bernard Hopkins. All he did was hold joe all night and in the end joe desperately tried to make a fight of it by coming forward. Boxing is struggling big time, no heavyweight division worth talking about and a middleweight division that ain't much better. Joe won the fight for me but thats based on him being the only one coming forward, hopkins was really dissappointing though.

yeah Joe was the only one of the 2 who were wanting to fight Hopkins only wanted to hold on all the time thats what the judges will have looked at.

I agree, there is nothing worth getting excited about in the higher weights at the moment. Luckily there are some redeeming qualities in the lower weights though. I wouldn't have wanted to call that fight last night. Joe probably did win due to a greater desire to actually instigate the fighting but even then it was hardly worth shouting about. With all the talk of his impending retirement i think he's more concerned with that than anything.

Hopkins should've finished it in the first round, but instead he fought like a bitch. Apart from the knock down, the rest of the fight was Calzaghe's. Probably the shittest over hyped fight. The judges decision was poor as well, how come it was a split decision ? This is why American judges are shit, it should have been unanimous....

It was a typical Hopkins fight where he stopped the other fighter from fighting his fight. I personally had it going B-Hops way but i thought it was a really close fight and it could have gone either way. In the end Hopkins being defensive cost him. If he had thrown the same amount of punches as Joe then he would of won.
The fight cements Calzaghes place at the top of British modern boxing greats imo and hopefully he'll try and get a fight with Pavlik and go out with a bang instead of fighting a has been in Roy Jones.
