Bastard club have fucked us over yet again.
Last season they told us we were unsuccessful with West Ham tickets (trophy presentation) despite going to all the home games bar about 3 or 4 and now this time around we've missed out on Barcelona tickets.
Luckily, last season we managed to snap some up but this won't happen again not for what is the biggest game of the season thus far.
It's a piss take, we hardly miss a game despite only being OU members and when a truely big games come along the club show us no loyalty - it's a joke.
I'm sure I'm not the only one in this situation but I guarantee some cunt who's never been to a game, never applied and is in it just to see Cristiano Ronaldo and sit there quiet as a cunt all game, wouldn't be there if the club was unsuccessful and doesn't give two fucks about the atmosphere or whether we progress or not will be told they were successful in their application today.
This club shows no loyalty to fans like myself and my dad and it's a joke - we're there when everything is going wrong and we're fighting for the Carling Cup but when the big game comes along, Champions League semi final we're told to do one.

I'm only new here, but isn't the point of being a member that you apply through a ballot and that everyone has an equal chance of getting tickets or have I massively misunderstood the process?
I am a OU member and have applied loads of times and have been rejected more than I have been successful - I would say going to most of the home games bar 3 or 4 is pretty good going and I wish I had that success rate.

I kno just how you feel Adam. But you have been luckier than me believe it or not. I've appplied for every single home game this season and have been chubbed all but 6 times. It makes me furious that some day tripper who does not LOVE the club or worship our history, tradition, and team will be there instead of me. Makes me feel sick tbh. But that's football these days. The club don't care about us.

I have applied for almost every game and I have been to 10 although most I have been to this season are from getting tickets through the exchange at there higher prices. I too have missed out on Barcelona and I knew that would be the case to begin with. I have ranted about this many times and feel that a loyalty bonus for none season ticket holders should be the way to go. They could base it on how many times a member has applied. Instead, we get people who apply for games near the end of the season when it looks more likely that we will win something thus decreasing the chance of getting a ticket. Its been a while since I have actually been successfull on the ballot and when you hear that 'you have been unsuccessful' quote from the bird on the phone, it is so frustrating. They don't care about who goes, just how many, which is a shame since these 'one application a year' fans will sit there quietly just to watch 80 minutes of football (the final 10 being the walk to their car).

You see thats the thing, why should members get a loyalty bonus? I consider it lucky to get tickets in a ballot given the massive amount of support the club actually has. I have no expectation that I am owed tickets as an OU member, the only way you can expect tickets is surely as a season ticket holder? That said I have managed to get a ticket for the Barca game

Well season ticket holders should have priority. I was talking about non season ticket holders. If one person applies once a season and gets a ticket and one person has applied loads and fails in the ballot, is that fair? When I say a bonus, I mean based on how many games a non season ticket holder has applied for.

Why should we get loyalty and priority?
Because we go to all the games regardless of whether it's Coventry or Chelsea, we don't care about opposition we just want to be there to support the boys then some wanker comes along and applies for one game and gets a ticket - it's a joke. Regardless of whether we're OU or STH we should be treated with the loyalty we show to the club.

But the point is you're just a member, and you pay your what £28 a season the same as every other member. You know what you're signing up for and its pure luck as to whether you get a ticket. If you want to be sure of going to every game I guess the solution is to get your name on the waiting list for a Season Ticket

Maybe another alternative is to change the membership system to a similar one that Arsenal have which gives you different advantages depending on weather you have paid for a gold, silver or bronze card. Mind you, I doubt the Glazers would be happy about lowering the price of membership which would have to be done as the advantages would obviously not be the same.

I think another way to consider the original posters situation is, he has been to like all but 3 or 4 home games which I would consider myself pretty lucky if I had those kind of ballot results. Think how many people there are that have applied every game to be rejected and would kill to be in your place.
Simply because someone doesn't go to a high percentage of matches doesn't mean that they don't want to or aren't trying to. Those people you are furious with for whom the Barca match may be their first of the season, they might have applied relentlessly and been rejected over and over

Of course I can't ask every member if they have been applying, but I don't think that its coincidence that its harder to get tickets on the ballot the later it goes into the season.
