Right guys, yet another massive game for us.
The news on the vine is that Rooney has only a 30% of playing - a bit of SAF mind games perhaps?
Assuming Roo is available, then we must put the following team out: -
VDS Brown - Rio - Vida - Evra Anderson - Carrick - Scholes Ronaldo - Tevez - Rooney
We have to re-kindle the magic of our performances against Roma, AC Milan, and Arsenal in order to beat Barca. The pressure is on them as much as it is on us; they have effectively surrended the League to rivals Real. Therefore, they need Champs League glory to appease their demanding fans.
If we get a result tomorrow night, I'm sure that will motivate the lads to secure the Premiership with wins against West Ham and Wigan. Unfortunately, a defeat may well have the opposite effect and we hand it to the chavs by dropping points.
Chelsea winning anything this season will be an injustice to football - let's not feed their already inflated ego's by caving in to pressure.
In the words of our new ally KK "I would love it if beat them, LOVE IT!".

It's been a disappointing week in terms on performance and results. Performance levels have dropped and things aren't going ou way either. All we can do now is be patient! I don't know if anyone remembers last year but before battering Roma 7-1 last year, we had lost against Portsmouth 2-1 i think. Thinhs can better but they can get worse too. So i'm just going to sit down and watch what happens on Tuesday night without expecting too much from our lads, nor am i going too sit down and be pessimistic. This is my starting line up: Vds Brown Ferdinand Vidic Evra Scholes Carrick Tevez Hargreaves Ronaldo Rooney Hargreaves can change with Tevez. Anderson and Tevez can change depending on who starts. Ronaldo to play the wing. The midfield trio eithershifting to the left or to the right depending on where the Barcelona attack is coming form. Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez to stay upfield with the sole aim of scoring.
My prediction: Man utd 3-2 Barcelona Scorers: Etoo to score first. Rooney to equalise just before half time. Hargreaves to score and then Messi Iniesta to equalise. In the 89th minute. Ronaldo to score a penalty.
By the way, i'm being very very very optimistic. A few weks back i would have been rather confident but after what happened this week this is all i can hope for.

Where are you playing Hargreaves there?

Both Rooney and Vidic missed training this morning. Additionally, Rio, Brown, Carrick, and Hargo trained away from the main body of players.
I don't think this is significant. Vidic is probably at the dentist, whilst Roo is seeing the chiropractor/physio. It would certainly be no surprise to see both in the lineup tomorrow night.
Watch this space.....

SSN said they expect them to play. For some reason, the guy who was reporting said we could see Carrick at left back. I think he may have been stoned during the report. #joint#
The players look relaxed enough though considering the events on Saturday. They also showed a funny clip of Queiroz standing on Fergie's toe and then laughing about it. You heard loads of camera's going off at that moment too so expect it to be on some back pages tommorrow!

I think im going to have a nervous breakdown before this game, its getting to me!! Im slightly releived by the release of GTA 4 tomorrow though But on topic, we should go through. Thats not me being over confident, cocky, or any of that, i just think that with our home ground advantage, and our record at home to boot, we are really in the driving seat for this fixture and we should be able to win it. Our defence is rock solid, so i think if we hit the two goals mark, we will be through.

I am so nervous about tomorrow night. If United dont give me a coronary by the end of the season il be happy I agree that the rest of our league season rests on wether we can get a result tomorrow. If we win then we will finish off the job in the league, if we lose then Fergie needs to use all his motivational skills on the lads. I wish Saha was fit for tomorrow night. With Marquez banned and Toure possibly injured they will have a very short back line and Saha's areal precence would provide a major threat. I think we will win by the odd goal, just to make sure the last ten minutes give us all a heart attack. Im backing Vida to score a thumping header from a corner. Anderson must start we need his energy in the midfield.
