WORLD No1 Justine Henin has confirmed she has retired from tennis. The shock move brings the Belgian ace's career to an end at the age of just 25. She said: "I have decided to put an end to my tennis-playing career. "It's the end of a wonderful adventure but it's something I have been thinking about for a long time." On Friday, Henin withdrew from a tournament in Italy complaining of fatigue. That decision came a day after she was beaten by Dinara Safina in third round of the German Open. Henin won 10 of the 14 events she entered last season, losing just four matches and earning a record £2.5million. But in 20 matches this season, Henin has already equalled last year's loss total and has won just two of her six events played. She cited a right knee injury as the reason for a recent lay-off.  you think she would of wanted to win at wimbledon before quitting |

It's her decision to make. I've never liked her much TBH, I got the impression she was a bit too cocky.

Big shock this as I love watching womens tennis lol!!! henin will be a big loss though she has been a great player for me though she aint that good on the eye so I wont miss watchin her that much

i always had the feeling that when doping was in the air she always been the first to not present herself at any tournaments! i never really liked her.

But to me there are many females out there who cheat starting from the Williams's sisters,finishing with Henin |

bit of a shock but her form has been quite poor this year tbh. good news though, Sharapova's going to officially be world number 1 on monday!  |

Even i never really liked her.She didnt excite me as a player.She was very efficient and she did her job in a very proffesional way(a bit like chelsea),but i never thought that she did that little bit of genius in her which say,a serena williams or a sharapova have.
